POV: you get asked if you're going to go back to a "regular" job when your kids are all in school. The simple answer is HELL NO Just because children are school aged doesn't mean that they still don't need me. Sure things change. Sick days, after school activities, I'll have more time to focus on managing the house, because really that's a full time job in itself. But what about my other goals and passions. I dream of having novels out, of sitting down and creating characters and a world people want to read about. I have a 3 book series planned out in my head already. But with the ages of my kids, I don't have the time to sit down and write for hours at a time. And here's the thing. I understand being a stay at home mom isn't every woman's calling. But it's mine. I was never that girl who dreamed of being a doctor or a lawyer. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always a mom, or a teacher because I felt I had to pick something. But that's a story for another time. So my answer is no. I have no desire or need to go back to a "regular" job. My role will shift as my kids get older. Four things that have helped my self confidence 💕 1. Hiring a holistic nutritionist to help me reach my health goals and learn what foods are good for my body and how to eat properly. 2. Getting a gym membership and actually using it. Going to the gym has become one of my favorite things to do and my favorite place to be. Good for my physical health and mental health. 3. Making sure I have time every day to get ready. Hair, makeup, outfit. I'm the type of person where I'm more productive and happy when I look cute and put together. 4. Getting rid of toxic people. Family or friends. Toxic is toxic. And also not putting in time to relationships where I feel like the same energy isn't given back to me.
