Education is extremely important to my family. My Great-Grandmother's dying wish was that my maternal Grandmother would be allowed to finish her education (check out Season 1 Episode 1 to hear more). This one promise changed the trajectory of not only my Grandmother's life, but the lives of generations to come. So, in all that I do, I try to honor the dreams and sacrifices of those who came before me. I do not take it lightly to know that I am ancestors' wildest dreams 💙.

Charles, I'm still in shock that you're gone. We were inseparable from the start and it's hard to believe that I now have to live in a world that you're not a part of. I used to tell you all the time that God was keeping you here for something special because you got more 2nd (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th...) chances than anyone I've ever met. I guess this means that you completed the assignment. Give Grandmommy and Derrick a big hug for me. Rest in Peace 🤍.
Despite what it may have looked like in my travel reel (see previous post)...my Dubai trip was actually an educational one 😂. Some know (most don't) that I've been pursuing an MBA degree over the last few years. It's been a challenging, yet amazing journey that has pushed me out of my comfort zone and broadened my perspective on so many things.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Education is extremely important to my family. My Great-Grandmother's dying wish was that my maternal Grandmother would be allowed to finish her education (check out Telling HERstory Podcast Season 1 Episode 1 to hear more). This one promise changed the trajectory of not only my Grandmother's life, but the lives of generations to come. I never feel more free than I do when I travel. I think I inherited that from my Grandmother 🤍. But, nothing could have prepared me for the shock that I received when I landed in Dubai and found out that two people who I love dearly passed away unexpectedly while I was in transit. Yet, God is faithful to His word and has given me a P E A C E that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) 🙏🏾.

I NEEDED this trip and it did not disappoint. If the rest of this year is anything like the last 8 days...2022 will be one for the books. Let's get it 💙.

2021 challenged me in ways that few years ever have.

I experienced some unexpected, tremendous highs...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And some gut wrenching, unimaginable lows...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, through it all, God has kept me and blessed me. And so, while I am currently grieving the passing of two very important people in my life on the same day, I also walk into 2022 with a heart of gratitude, love, and optimism. I'm excited to see what God will do with the next 365 days, especially now that I have two new Angels advocating on my behalf 🤍.

Me and my "Twin" 🥰.
