I created Ideas by Reg without any expectations for it to grow and transform to what it is now. Over the past few months, I’ve welcomed more and more brand collaborations and realized I can no longer fly solo—especially if I wanted Ideas by Reg to grow. So slowly but surely, I have been building my (small but trusted) team.

I always knew I was a creative, way back, but my medium was not through design or illustration but it was music. Only when I started my University journey did I realize that I actually loved creating content— videos, graphics, and more.

For some reason, there was always this stigma around Canva, that it’s for people who aren’t professionals… but I beg to disagree.

I, myself, know how to use other fancy editing tools but that did not stop me from using Canva because of how convenient & easy to use it is! Not only that, but it’s perfect for social media posts, which is just what I need.

I believe that it’s not about what tools you use but what you make out of them! So if you made something good at a shorter amount of time, then that’s a win for you!

I am now a full-pledged adult! 🌷

I turned 21, 6 days ago, and it just made me realize how much I have grown as a person. So here I am sharing with you guys—

5 life lessons I had to learn the hard way:

✧ Your mistakes are meant to be steps for your growth.
- Sure, you’re bummed out because you made a mistake but it’s always a way for you to become even better, because now you know what you have to improve on.

✧ It’s not failure, it’s redirection
- Whether it’s a missed opportunity or you didn’t reach a certain goal. That’s okay. It’s because you’re meant to do something better and more fitting for you, trust.

✧ Place value in yourself, your skills, and your talents
- I can’t reiterate this enough. Be confident with your own strengths because it will be easier for other people to see your capabilities if you believe in them yourself.

✧ Productivity doesn’t mean tiring yourself out
- All those sleepless nights, backaches, and acne caused by stress is not worth it 😩 Just take a break, nap, or sleep when you need to. Then you can continue working after you’ve gotten enough rest. Trust me, your body will thank you.

✧ Surround yourself with good people.
- I mean this. You don’t have to tolerate people you don’t vibe with. Surround yourself with people that will continue to make a positive impact in your life and will always be there, the same way you will always be too (even if it’s low-maintenance).

I know you see this in your news feed too! 👀 Different members of organizations changing their Facebook Profile Picture in order to promote something..

But why do they do that?

According to a study on social and political campaigns, the main reason why people change their profile pictures (DP Blast) on Facebook, is because:

☀︎ they raise awareness to a certain issue or event
☀︎ it is consistent with the issue (you won’t really change your DP if it doesn’t adhere to the event’s goals)
☀︎ it is a step for positive change

So next time you see someone changing their FB DP, just remember that it’s for a good cause! 😌🌤

I started asking clients for testimonials, at first, because I needed it for my portfolio and to prove the credibility of my brand BUT I realized soon after that there’s so much more to it when asking a client to review my work.

More often than not, we deal with pressure that we cannot handle. I’m here to tell you that what you’re feeling or what you’ve felt is totally valid.

Sometimes we get lost in the thrill of it all, or we tend to overwork ourselves, or even stick with a routine that doesn’t work for us anymore because it’s a way of coping with life. But hey, we are really only just humans.

This post is a reminder to take things slow, enjoy the process, and don’t fight the current. Going with the flow will get you to your destination, I promise you! 🤍

If you’re constantly thinking about taking that BIG STEP, it’s probably because you should!

Trying and seeing if things would work out will give you the peace of mind (and no regrets in the future).😉

Just always remember to do things with purpose. Whether it be in your personal advocacy or the results you want in the future, make sure you have a plan, set goals and objectives, and an expected outcome; so you won’t go into the process blindly.

There are so many available resources out there, even now with social media! Grow your brand, expand, explore. All it takes is for you to say yes and do it.

There's always this big fear that things won't work out the way you expect it to, or the idea in your head won't turn out perfect-- but how would you even know if you don't even try?

One of my biggest struggles is pursuing a passion project that I really like because I used to always believe that things have to be perfect...but you know what?

The most important thing is that you START.

There will be bumps in the road & struggles you have to face, but at the end of the day-- you'll learn, grow, and come out even better and stronger.
