In a recent interview with CITIZEN TV, Senator Sylvia Kasanga, stated that just like any other leaders, President Uhuru also also has a right to advise people on his vision.

"But just to remind Kenyans that leadership is about influence and every leader has a right to bear influence on his people and advise them on what future vision he has. So the president has every right to advise Kenyans on how he feels the country should move," she stated.

H. E President Uhuru Kenyatta today,7/7/2022 is at the University of Nairobi's Taifa Hall in Nairobi City County for his inauguration as the Global Champion for the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP).

AAAP is a joint initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) that aims to raise 25 billion US dollars, over 5 years, for investment in Africa's climate adaptation interventions.

H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta officially been received in Lisbon by his host President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of the Portuguese🇵🇹 Republic at the commencement of the Kenyan leader's two-day State Visit to the southern European country.

The President also took a short drive, escorted by a ceremonial cavalry of horse riders, to the nearby Belém Palace, the official residence of the Portuguese President, where the two leaders led their respective delegations in bilateral talks, and addressed the media.

The presidential aspirant claimed that he once was the chief food taster for Kenya’s first Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and wouldn’t mind teaming up with the son.

“I have roots in the Luo community and we must respect Raila. If you don’t vote for me then you would rather vote for him,” he added in his speech.

The President, who arrived in Lisbon on Monday morning, 27/06/22, co-chaired the opening planery session of the 5-day conference with his Portuguese counterpart Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and UN Secretary General António Guterres.

President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, Thursday evening to attend the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

On arrival at the Kigali International Airport, President Kenyatta was received by senior officials of the Rwandan Government, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo and Kenya’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, 22/06/2022, kicked off the latest phase of the national title deeds issuance programme that will see the immediate issuance of one million title deeds to land owners across the country.

“The programme should be executed expeditiously such that before sunset on the Eighth of July, 2022 the balance of the one 1 million title deeds will have been conveyed to their holders,” President Kenyatta noted.

The President further highlighted several achievements under the reforms in the land sector, noting that the National Titling program, which his administration introduced in 2013, has helped in processing and issuing title deeds to many citizens.

Speaking on Sunday, 19/06/2022, at the Moi International Sports Complex, Kasarani, during celebrations to mark 100 years of the Akurinu Church, the President urged school principals to respect the religious beliefs, norms and traditions of all students..
The President said students should be allowed to express their religious beliefs so as to build their confidence in God.

“Everyone has their rights guaranteed in our constitution and they should be safeguarded. Everybody has a right and we want to protect that right so that our children can grow as confident people who understand that their faith is their right,” the President quoted.

He further commended the Akurinu church for being at the forefront in spreading the gospel, noting that since its inception in 1922, the church has grown its membership to 1.5 million.
