UPDATE:The Principal of St. Augustine Otamba Girls Secondary School is reportedly dead.

Madam Ruth Ng'ang'a met her death in the early Wednesday morning fatal road accident at Nyabondo area.

The school community has received in shock the passing on of their principal as confirmed by the deputy principal.

UPDATES: KEROKA town traders' stalls torched by unknown people last night even as talks on its operations are ongoing by joint teams.

Ichuni Ward MCA Hon Wyclliff Siocha on his Facebook post, has expressed dissatisfaction with what traders are facing over the boundary tussle.

He threatens to withdraw the team representing Kisii County in the talks if nobody comes out to claim responsibility.

"I hereby withdraw my team from the ongoing talks with immediate effect until when they come into the table with clean hands. You can’t fight us at night and you expect to engage us during the day. Unafiki mtupu!" He says.

Yesterday, the court of appeal in Kisumu gave stay orders over the ruling that was made over the boundaries that operations of revenue collection should continue as it was before.

Hon. Siocha emphasizes on the need to obey court orders as per yesterday's ruling as they have been obeying the court ruling of not sending the revenue officers from Kisii to collect revenue.

"Orders cannot bw orders when they favour you but when they dont favour you they are not orders," he continues.

He sympathizes with the affected traders and pledges to stand with them even when they are difficult times.

"To all the traders affected my sincere apologies and be assured that you will be indemnified." He adds.

Elsewhere Rigoma Ward MCA Hon. Commandare Nyambega Gisesa threatens to go to court morning over what he claims to be contempt of court by the Kisii county government.

FLOODS: A bus belonging to Umma Express plying the Garissa - Nairobi route got swept by floods at Lager Areli.

Tana River County commander Ali Ndiema has confirmed that the bus was carrying 51 passengers and efforts to rescue them are underway.

ROAD CARNAGE UPDATE: Barely less than 12hrs it is reported that a grissly road accident has claimed 8 lives after a van rammed into a stalled truck near Ngata Bridge along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.

Traffic Police officers at the scene say, only one person from the van survived the early Tuesday morning collision.

ROAD CARNAGE: At least 6 people feared dead in a road accident between a Probox and a lorry at Mzungu wa Ndege near Duka Moja, along the Kericho-Nakuru highway.

This the latest horrific accident which has been reported on the busy highway. The accident has taken place minutes past 2030hrs this evening.

The Probox has split into two pieces.

NEWS UPDATE: Shock engulfed residents of Omosaria, in Masige West, after suspected gangs attacked two girls, 7 and 15, who were in their house last night Bobasi Constituency Kisii County.

One succumbed as a result of the stabbed wounds as the other is nursing serious injuries left on her while she was trying to protect herself.

The 15 yrs old, Sharon, told the media that they were asleep when unknown people broke into their house and started stabbing them which led to the death of her sister.

The area leadership has condemned the heinous act as they have asked police to conduct in-depth investigations to bring the culprits into book.

Their mother also was left with serious injuries as they were rushed to Tabaka Mission Hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, one suspect has been arrested and out under police custody to help in investigations.

UPDATES: Various social media users are up in arms over the mysterious death of the late DUKE NYABARO ARON while calling out the police to intensify investigations and bring the culprits into book.

Nyabaro's body was found hanging from a kiosk(picture) roof, which according to the incident there is a likelihood he was murdered somewhere and his body was brought there.

According to communication pundit Kerubo Onkundi's Facebook handle, she says, "This young man here was one of the vocal Shabana supporters and a political commentator. Yesterday he was found kneeling on a kiosk with a rope on his neck, the position at which he was hanging suggested that he was either killed somewhere and brought there to show that he killed himself.

Others who have expressed their concern include Duke Mainga Echate, Cyrus or Ondanya 101, Enock Monari among others.

The late was last seen in a popular club in Kisii town with friends who as per the information currently are being pursued by authorities to record a statement.

SAD END! WHO KILLED NYABARO DUKE ARON or WHO DO YOU SPEND TIME WITH?

A lot of questions have come up even as police are on the chase of suspects behind the alleged killing and hanging of the lifeless body of one the late Nyabaro Duke Aron who was found in the early morning of Sunday.

Mid last month one Mr. Jeremiah Mogaka Nyamweya a contractor in Kisii county, engaged in a "scuffle over a woman" thus losing his life.

However 3 of his friends were arrested as suspects behind his death that occured while nursing serious injuries he got from the fight in a popular club.

Residents of manga scheme, Borabu constituency are in a shock after a man killed his wife in unclear circumstances police confirms.

However his efforts to eliminate himself by self poison never bore any fruit as neighbors blocked him from the act.

He was rushed to Nyansiongo mission hospital where is fighting for his life amid close police supervision before facing the charges in court.

UPDATE: Kenyans supporting a top flight British football club, Manchester United today are holding a series of events including visiting various children homes in Kisii town Kisii County.

Speaking through the phone, one of the main organizers who is also a diehard fan of the club Mr. Douglas Ombaba, says it is a moment like no other that nobody should not afford to miss.

"I can say that this the day the Lord has made. It is a day that we have been waiting for. It is Easter season, where as Manchester United fans from Kenya want to celebrate the less fortunate families like Children homes, the sick in the hospitals, yeah," Mr. Ombaba.

" This is an event we have planned for a while now. An event that brings us together from various parts of the country. We have met people from Nairobi like myself, Kisumu, western, Kisii, Nyamira etc. it is a moment of Love." He continues.

"We encourage other fans of other clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester city to follow suit so that by doing so we can have a very beautiful society." Says Mr. Ombaba.

This is the second time the fans are holding such an event the most recent one being the visitation to Keumbu Children home.

On the objective of the fans, he says apart from holding visitations, they are using the same platform to discourage the FGM activities and violence against women.

"Yeah apart from going to visit the less unfortunate like today, we are using the same opportunity to tell our parents that things to with Female Ge***al Mutilation FGM is a big NO and violence against women in our community." He says.

After today's event the fans want to focus on matters identifying narturing talents and look for sponsorship so that the talents are not left to a waste.

He added that their group is not and will not be affiliated to anything to do with politics.

"Our major objective is matters to do with charity, we solicit funds and other stuffs depending on the objective of the program ahead and help as per the program itself." He concludes.

BREAKING NEWS: Another Veteran Nollywood actor, is reportedly dead according to Nigeria media houses

Mr. Amaechi Muonagor, has died as a result of kidney related disease in India after a video surfaced online him asking for financial assistance.

The late Muonagor dies, at the age of 62, even when the Nollywood world is mourning the death of John Okafor best known as Mr. Ibu.

In his lifetime, Muonagor portrayed a varied range of characters, including wealthy individuals, the poor, ritualists, traditional rulers, and pastors.

He demonstrated his versatility as an actor by being able to inhabit different characters, from those of high social status to those facing societal challenges.

Some of the Iconic Nollywood movies where Amaechi Muonagor proved he's a legend include, Aki and Paw Paw, Karishika(1998), Igodo(1999), Issakaba among others.

Additionally, he played roles that showcased moral complexities or connections to traditional beliefs and practices.

His versatility as an actor played a significant role in establishing his esteemed status in the Nigerian film industry and Africa.

UPDATE: NYAMIRA Governor Amos Nyaribo has told his Nyamira electorate that it is time for them to elect a young vibrant governor that time for people above 70 yrs as governors is over.

He said, he should be the last one serving as the oldest governor saying time for young blood to lead the county into development prosperity has come.

"Time has come where Nyamira county doesn't want an 80-year-old as their governor. I am asking you to nurture a young leader whom I will hand over to" Hon. Nyaribo said.

Governor took over from the late Nyagarama who died while serving for the second time. He was elected afresh in the last election under the umbrella of UPA party owned by former Super CS Fred Matiang'i.

It is not clear whether by this statement, Hon. Nyaribo will vie again come 2027 elections.

UPDATES: POLICE in Kisii town are investigating 3 men after picking a fight over a woman with a reveller in a popular club who later succumbed to injuries.

It is said, the suspects engaged in a scuffle with one Mr. Jeremiah Mogaka Nyamweya a contractor in Kisii county, who was with a woman by the time fighting started.

The police are holding them up to 14 days pending investigations.

BREAKING NEWS: A Helicopter carrying CS Transport Hon. Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen and Kenya Aviation Authority chair Caleb Kositany crashes as it attempts to take off at Mwachon, Baringo County.

However reports indicate they have been evacuated with no injuries.

UPDATES: The man behind the hacking of his wife to death on early morning of Tuesday this week, in Ibacho Kiamok**a ward in Nyaribari Masaba is reportedly dead.

It is said that the suspect who has been under police custody in Ramasha police station pending investigations, hang himself last night in the same police cells.

According to the police officers on duty, "we found the body of the late hanging from the ceiling lifeless. And we don't know the time he did this act."

The body has been moved to Kisii and Teaching Referral Hospital morgue.

The late is suspected to have hacked his wife whose body is lying in the KTRH morgue cold drawers, on Tuesday this week over a family quarrel.

FROM NOLLYWOOD: Popular Nigerian actor John Okafor also known as Mr. Ibu is dead.

According to Nollywood social media handles, Mr Ibu died a while ago in Evercare hospital.

Last year December Mr. Okafor's left leg was ambuted as a result of cancer that had attacked him.

"We thank God for the time he gave us to be with Okafor, Ibu on our screens and streets" says part of he statement.

Mr. Okafor, Ibu, alongside his colleagues have starred in many Nigeria films full of humour and informing as well as educating the society.

TAARIFA: RAIS wa Jamhuri ya Tanzania Samia Suluhu ametangaza kifo cha aliyekuwa Rais wa nchi hiyo Ali Hassan Mwinyi.

Marehemu Mwinyi aliaga dunia akiwa na umri wa miaka 98 katika hospitali moja nchini humo kutokana na saratani ya mabafu.

Mazishi yake yamepangiwa kufanyika hiyo kesho tarehe 3/2/2024 sehemu ambayo ingali kujulikana.

HABARI: Hatima ya Naibu Gavana wa gatuzi la Kisii Dr. Robert Monda, kuendelea kufanya kazi k**a Naibu wa Gavana Sasa limebaki katika mikono ya bunge la seneti.

TAARIFA: Mji wa soko la Ekerubo linalopatikana katika wadi ya Ichuni eneo bunge la Nyaribari Masaba, umebaki mahame baada ya serekali kuweka mipango rasmi ya kuanzisha ujenzi wa nyumba za bei nafuu(affordable housing).

Kutwa nzima siku ya nne mfululizo, shuguli ya ukataji miti, ubomozi wa manyumba unaendelea kwa hali inayofanyika kwa hiari huku baadhi ya ambao hawakutarajia kufanyika kwa shughuli hiyo wakionekana na msongo wa mawazo hawajui wafanye lipi hata baada ya kutumia muda na fedha zao kuekeza katika eneo hilo.

Licha ya wao kukubali kuwa ardhi hiyo ni ya serekali, kidole Cha lawama chaelekezwa kwa viongozi katika eneo hilo kwa kukosa kuwaarifu Wala kuwapa notisi ili kupanga kuondoka sehemu hiyo.
