Let's talk about something we've all felt at some point – being 'typical'. There's a negative connotation to being typical. 🙅🏼‍♀️

But guess what? It's time to REFRAME that perspective and unlock the extraordinary within. 🗝️

I grew up with the classic script – working dad, stay-at-home mom, a sibling, education, job, marriage, two kids. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

And here's my current real life: I'm a 'typical' mom, rocking leggings, t-shirts, and that signature mom bun AND I can achieve extraordinary things. 💪🏼

✨ "You've Got This. When you find what you do with all your heart, you find yourself." ✨

I was doing some spring cleaning (yes, a tad late, I know) and found this artwork. It really made me STOP and THINK.

It sucks to admit it, but my prior career, what I did for so many years to earn an income, did not involve my heart AT ALL. There was no passion involved. It was simply a way to earn a living. And I built my entire life and lifestyle around that.

How BACKWARDS is that?! Yet, how many of us live our lives that way, without a second thought?

Sadly, a lot of people. 🫠

Growing up, I never had any serious hobbies, nor do I as an adult, really. I never found my passion growing up. And my previous career was certainly not a passion.

But now the TIDES HAVE TURNED. (Yes, that's a pun from the boat artwork. 🙃)

"It's the things that we are made for that give us the best opportunities to find out what we are made of."

I know that I was made for motherhood and motherhood is showing me exactly what I am made of. 💪🏼

I am made of someone who won't settle, who wants to be a mother to my fullest capability and develop a lifestyle and a business based on that.

A supportive community is essential, and I have found my SOUL TRIBE!

The community I've become a part of through my business is truly amazing. It's full of like-minded women (and men, too!) where one person's success is everyone's success.

A great community BUILDS YOU UP and INSPIRES you to be at your highest level.

This is my friend Katie. She is INCREDIBLE. We met when our babies were around 7 months old. I met her when I was in the middle of figuring out in what way I wanted to 'go back to work' after being a stay at home mom for 2 years.

Katie was a part of this business community before I was, but when I was looking for a way to earn income, she was simply SUPPORTIVE. Not only did she never push this business on me, she never even brought it up. I didn't even know she was a part of it.

SELF-DISCIPLINE and SELF-ACCOUNTABILITY are so powerful.

I am currently half way through a program called 75 Hard. It's basically 75 days of completing a specific list of activities every single day, without fail, for 75 straight days. If you miss a single item on a single day, you start back at day 1.

The catch? You are the only one who would know if you missed a task. You have to hold yourself accountable.

I took this photo earlier today after a run. Sweaty, red faced, post-partum baby hair sticking up everywhere. When I look at it, I see self-discipline, I see accountability. I'm not focused on any physical changes, just mental changes.

For a lot of people, this program is about physical changes, but it is so much more.

I made some adjustments to the true program and added some business tasks, too. I made the list achievable but difficult.

You know those days when you have so much to do and it's 9 o'clock at night and there are a few things you didn't get to, but it's late and you just don't think you can do it? So you don't.

That used to be me. But I've learned how to get past that. Future me is so grateful for present me getting through the list of activities. Every. Single. Day.

It's not about pushing you to your breaking point, it's about seeing that you are capable, that you can be disciplined, you can be accountable to yourself.

You learn that you CAN. ✨

I thought I was only ever made for the corporate world. HOW WRONG WAS I.

And here I am. Total 180 and loving it.

You will regret it later in life if you don’t.

Don’t stay behind the camera. I used to be self-conscious of the terribly-angled selfies with my kids but now I embrace it!

My 3 year old is suddenly very interested in taking pictures and I love every awkwardly angled photo he takes of me.

You are creating memories for your kids to look back on when they are older.

They do not care what you look like, they don’t need a perfectly curated picture. All they see is their first best friend, their first love, their mama 💙.

Be present. Get in that picture. ✨

Set your mindset on the FUTURE.

I look at this picture and I SO look forward to the lifelong big brother/little brother relationship between my two little boys 💙💙.

We are always thinking about our kids' futures but we forget about ourselves in the process. Us mamas have futures, too.

I SO look forward to what my own life will be in the future, outside of being a mom to two little boys.

If your mindset is only on the present, how will you ever move forward?

It is such a gift to our kids if we can improve ourselves and our own future while we aim to improve our kids' lives too.

We always hear the words 'live in the present' and yes, you can absolutely live in the present but you also need to think towards the future if you want anything to change.

It's a mentality shift.

I chose this photo because it was a day I felt EMPOWERED. One of the most important days of my life. I chose my future for my personal life. I was SO ready for what was to come. The details were still unknown, but I dove in head first and I've never looked back.

YOU can have that same feeling of empowerment in your professional life. I empowered myself to find the courage to leave the traditional mentality and shift towards the unknown. Yes, it's scary but it's so worth it.

CELEBRATE YOURSELF, GIRL!

Self-celebration is such an under-appreciated aspect of life.

Think about how we talk to toddlers as they grow and explore the world around them. We cheer them on for the smallest of things and tell them how great they are for each small achievement they make.

Have you noticed how much that builds them up? How much that encourages them to keep going?

WE NEED TO BUILD OURSELVES UP IN THAT SAME WAY.

Celebrate the little things, the small steps you take towards achieving a bigger goal. It's ESSENTIAL to soak up the small victories to then be able to rebound from any potential setbacks that may come your way. Setbacks can and will happen, but we can get ahead of the game by shifting our focus in a positive way.

We're all afraid of something. You can be afraid and still have courage. You just don't let the fear stop you.

A mentor of mine once said "why are you so loyal to something that is keeping you so stuck?".

Let that sink in…why are you SO loyal to something that is keeping you SO stuck?

Complacency is a silent killer, and then when we do realize we're complacent, we're afraid to make a change, and we stay stuck.

I am a mom above all else. I will not sacrifice that part of me.

I need an income that supports my life as a mother, as a caretaker. I was a stay at home mom for 2 years but our family needed additional income.

Going back to a traditional/corporate '9 to 5' was not an option in my mind. I was determined to find another way that would allow me to be available to my family whenever they need me.

A way where time DOES NOT equal money. Where I can leverage existing automated systems to gain my time back. Where I can be fully present for my kids when they are sick, when we want to take a vacation, when my kids just need some special 'mommy time' and STILL be earning with automated systems running in the background without me lifting a finger.

What I just described CAN and DOES exist. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have found. I'm here to share that opportunity with all the mamas and non-mamas out there.

Online businesses can be SO feasible and SO straight-forward, it's mind-boggling how many people deny its legitimacy.
