The government has continually provided the same amount every year.
The Council has been implementing the National Persons with Albinism Sunscreen Support Programme since 2013.
Currently the program is providing sunscreen lotions to over 3,800 persons with albinism.
In this financial year, the Council has spent a total of KSH 40 million shillings on lotions for both children and adults.
Since the inception of the program, the Council has spent approximately Ksh 400million on provision of sunscreen lotions to persons with albinism.
Each person with albinism is entitled to on bottle of sunscreen lotion every month depending on the usage.
