🏆 IT’S BCMA NOMINATION TIME 🏆

The time has come for the 2025 BCMA British Country Music Association awards to open the intial round of nominations!

Back in February I attended the awards in Liverpool for the first time as I was lucky enough to be a finalist for both the UK Independent Radio Presenter and UK Festival of the Year categories. I wasn’t a winner but it was a great leap in recognising that both the festival and radio show are heading in the right direction!

There is no getting away from the fact that this is a bit of a popularity voting system as those with the highest number of votes progress to the shortlisted round.

So why do I want to be in with a chance of winning I hear you ask?? Well yes it would be nice to have recognition from my peers but also to spread the word for all the work I do to support, and raise the profile, of independent country music artists - a lot of which is in my spare time and on a voluntary basis so if you have a moment I would be forever thankful if you could vote for me!

To vote, all you need to do is:

I didn’t win but it was wonderful to be shortlisted and to attend the event at the historic Cavern Club and see so many wonderful friends and artists!

I came away feeling inspired and so thankful to have a role in the wonderful world of British Country Music! 🎶

Tonight I am up in Liverpool for the BCMA British Country Music Association Awards at the Cavern Club. I was shortlisted for Radio Presenter of the Year for Express FM Country and Festival of the Year for Country on the Coast 😍 I won’t lie I feel a bit of an imposter and am missing my husband and children for support but time to put my big girl pants on and enjoy the whole experience! Remember that even though people seem confident and like they have it all together even the most confident have moments of doubt! 😍

On of the passion projects I took on last year was the Country Music Show Express FM Country on Express FM, it was an opportunity that I couldn’t say no to as hosting a radio show was actually a dream of mine!

Roll on 7 months, more than 30 shows, live broadcasting from Victorious Festival plus a co presented show on Christmas Day with Paul Marsh (also an award winner 😍)…. I was awarded New Presenter of the Year 2023 at the Team End of Year awards and social! 😍

Chuffed is an understatement!

Thank you to the whole team at Express for making me feel so welcome and for supporting me through learning a whole host of new things! 🤩

I wanted to ask a favour….

As some some of you know, each year I run Country on the Coast Festival for the Country music community, I also host Express FM Country, the Country Music Show on Express FM every Wednesday evening.

It is currently nomination period for this year’s BCMA - British Country Music Association awards and although I may not as well established as many others and competition is quite high, it would be so good to get the name of the festival and the radio show out there to reach more people!

Nominations are open to the public and it is popularity contest style voting - whoever the top 4/5 most voted is, gets shortlisted.

So I just wanted to politely ask if you had a spare moment and wouldn’t mind, could you vote for me in the following categories:
