Today, Chairman Waturu on behalf of AKCMO, witnessed by Ngugi Kariuki signed an MoU with Association of Proffesional Broadcasters. The goal is to collaborate in capacity building of community radios and other alligning projects to stregthen the mandates of both organizations in improving the media landscape in Kenya.

Today, Secretary to the ministry of youth and sports Raymond Ochieng had a great partnership meeting with The Association of Kenya Community Media Operators (AKCMO) on how to tap into their over 60 Community Radio Stations with over 20 Million audience that are majority youth.
The secretary also explored engagement of youth on the ground and opportunity sharing in their platforms including talent search.

Akcmo continues to equip it's member stations through robust networking with it's partners. Media council of Kenya donated several equipments including 5 computers, 10 headphones and microphones. Akcmo takes this early opportunity to appreciate this noble cause.

AKCMO Chairperson Mr. Daniel Waturu today 2/6/2024, joined the Patron of the Association of Professional Broadcasters(APB-Kenya) Mr. Ezekiel Mutua, and a section of it's Membership in honouring and celebrating one of Kenya's Broadcasting Icons, Leaonard Mambo Mbotela.

Mbotela, fondly refered to as 'Majee' marked his 84th Birthday in late May. AKCMO is making big strides towards forging alliances, partnerships and collaborations with various Broadcast stakeholders.

Also Mr. Nyangweso shared Akcmo appreciation to MCSK for the exemption of Community radios from paying the 20k annual fee. Hapa KAZI Tu Wadau.
