Key Element no. 6) Voiceovers

Choose your voiceover(s) carefully! Not only your choice of words but your tone of voice. Your voice talent has a tremendous impact on your station image depending on gender, personality, attitude, energy, sound, tone, mood, diction e.t.c there's a reason why many brands attach themselves to a celebrity who's heard and seen in all of their campaigns! Listeners feel that real people(sounding like them) are more credible than voice artists(sounding like sales people). So make sure you add listener testimonials to your productions!

Today we look at Key Element no. 5) Vocals

If all stations in town have sung jingles, you may want to go for V/O-based idents( or a hybrid of both sung & VoiceOver inserts). The vocal production can make a real difference aswell. You can create vocal variety by opting either a full choir or solo voice, or a mix of both - the same goes for male&female singers. Branded intros are a great way to "own" the greatest hits on your playlists & enhance your program flow!
