1. Stop: Running may trigger their predatory instincts.

2. Do not lie down: Pretending to be dead can increase their curiosity.

3. Remain calm: Avoid showing fear and maintain a calm demeanor by talking to the hyena.

4. Minimize movements at night: Hyenas are nocturnal, so be cautious when moving during nighttime.

5. Face the hyena: Do not move away until it does, and continue facing its direction.
Stand your ground: If the hyena growls or giggles, stand your ground, but do not move closer.

6. Make noise: Be loud, look aggressive, and appear frightening to deter the hyena.

15 people have died after a bus heading to Nairobi collided with a Matatu heading to Eldoret. The accident happened at Twin Bridge at Mau Summit along the Nakuru Eldoret highway. Kuresoi North Police Sub-County Commander Judith Gathenge has confirmed. The 2 a.m. accident that claimed Eight adults and seven children involved a Northway Shuttle 15 seater matatu and a Classic King bus.

Seven people were injured and rushed to Molo Sub-County Hospital.

The bodies have been taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital Mortuary.

CS to release 2023 KCSE results today at Moi girls Eldoret, here is what is expected

Ezekiel Machogu the Cabinet Secretary for Education will be releasing the results of the 2023 KCSE exams today, January 8, 2024, at Moi Girls Eldoret after a long wait.

An official from the office of the Cabinet Secretary, who sought anonymity, disclosed that the results will be released after pressure from many parents who complained about the delay which has led to anxiety among candidates.

DCI officers cordon Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s official residence at Milimani estate, Meru as probe into murder of blogger Daniel Muthiani aka Sniper underway.

Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has denied allegations that the slain blogger Benard Muthiani alias ‘Sniper’ visited her official residence before he went missing.

This came as police intensified investigations to bring to book the suspects behind the brutal murder of the blogger. So far six people have been detained over the murder.

Among those in custody are Frederick Muriuki Kiugu, Timothy Kinoti, Kenneth Mutua Matiri alias Gasigi, Frankline Kimathi alias Ras and Kenneth Murangiri Guantai, alias Tali, a brother to the governor and Vincent Murithi.
