At The Animal Ark we are so incredibly blessed with all of our amazing supporters. We are so greatful to each and every person whose visited our farm and spent time with our animals!
However every once in a while there are some people that come along who deserve a special mention - and today is one of those days.

As some of you know, recently we lost our darling wee sheep Simon, who holds a very special place in our heart.

Out of the absolute goodness of her heart and with absolutely nothing to gain herself at all, one of our supporters Kirsten Maclean-Horrell drew up this amazing image of Simon and sent it to us, simply so that we’d have something perfect to always remember him by. We’ve never met Kirsten - and so for a virtual stranger to be so kind honestly just blew us away. Kirsten has a baby at home whose been unwell also, so her giving up her precious free time up to make this for us means even more.
Kirsten, you are an absolute gem, and we will always be so very greatful to you for this.
Thank you for being the type of person the world needs more of.🐑 💕

This was a little creation I did for a friend, I've known Fenris since he was a pup and he's the sweetest doggy ever, and now he has a little brother to be sweet right along side him.

Looking forward to seeing these two grow up together! Just wish we were a little closer 💔.

Today I bought some fancy new watercolour brushes from for procreate and followed along the brush tutorial to draw this leaf.

Such a fun little tutorial and definitely helped me to know which brushes to use for the different effects.

I'm such a newbie when it comes to watercolour, I can't wait to learn more and practice practice practice.

I recently did this beautiful pair which I believe were intended for a nursery for a new bubs 👶. If you're going to have some animal.art, you might as well have it personalised right?

French bulldogs have always been up there on my wishlist of dogs I'd love to own. Maybe one day! They are just the cutest 🤩

Miles' dad is from Argentina, so that means that half of Miles' family live there. It didn't used to feel so far away when we knew it was only a 14hr flight from Auckland to Buenos Aires. But in these strange times where international travel isn't an option and even when it is, Air NZ closed that route, it feels a million miles (hah!) away.

We recently received some photos of his family to make a little photo book for him but I thought it might be nice to do some little black and white portraits of them too, so we can hang them in his Nursery.

❤️Hopefully that way he will feel that they are always close by.❤️

Happy New Year! This one felt like a festive pic to post for the new year. I can't show you the photo unfortunately, but I've shown a sneak peek of a couple of the dresses, I was so happy with how they turned out. Took me a while to figure out how to do a sparkly gold dress and a tinsel wrapped dress but I think I got it in the end.
