Medical care will be personalized, more precise and data driven.
26 years old Dr. Elombe Calvert is the Recipient of the 2022 Governor General's Achievement Award for the parish of Westmoreland hailing from the community of Big Bridge.
His passion about Data and Healthcare has led him to presently pursue a MSc degree in Applied Data Science.
In August he will continue his studies at Harvard University studying Biomedical Informatics.

26 years old Dr. Elombe Calvert is the Recipient of the 2022 Governor General's Achievement Award for the parish of Westmoreland hailing from the community of Big Bridge.
He's a Mannings High School alum, where he was awarded Top CSEC male Student in 2013 earning 14 CSEC and 8 CAPE subjects all with Distinctions. He completed his Medical Degree ( MBBS) in 2020 and is currently a Senior House Officer at the University hospital of the West Indies.
His passion about Data and Healthcare has led him to presently pursue a MSc degree in Applied Data Science.
In August he will continue his studies at Harvard University studying Biomedical Informatics.
He hopes to transform Jamaica's Healthcare system by developing a platform that uses radiological imaging and data collected to diagnose and prognose patients.
He shares losing his home in a fire at the age of 16 which provided the motivation for him to excel.

TIME MANAGEMENT VITAL TO SUCCESS Hailing from the innercity of Waterhouse, 19 year old J'voughnn Blake Captain of Jamaica College track team, Gold medallist at both the 800m and 1,500m at the 2022 Boy's Championships and the Carifta Games heads to Ivy League Dartmouth College in the United States.
He will pursue a degree in Molecular Biology.
J'voughnn describes the process of choosing which scholarship to accept as 'overwhelming' as he had received several offers from other ivy league universities.
He shares how he was able to attain 13 CSEC subjects and 6 CAPE subjects while performing at such a high level as a track athlete.
