Three hospitalized in Nairobi over love triangle fights

Three people are nursing wounds in hospital after dramatic attacks in two separate love triangle incidents in Nairobi.

The first incident happened in a lift at the NHIF Building where an intern at the Music Copyright Board offices stabbed his girlfriend five times in an attempt to kill her after the fallout.

Police and witnesses said Allan Musili and his girlfriend aged 24, were picked up while bleeding from the building elevator and taken to the hospital where they are nursing wounds.

The girlfriend had deep stab wounds in the back while Musili had injuries in the stomach and neck.

Witnesses said she had arrived at the building on Tuesday afternoon to return a laptop to Musili because they were no longer boyfriend and girlfriend.

Upset by the move, Musili followed her to the lift, drew a knife, and stabbed her in the back five times before turning the weapon to himself stabbing his stomach and neck.

He fell unconscious amid screams to save the two from witnesses.

They were both rushed to hospital where they were admitted in serious condition.

Police said another love triangle incident happened in Kaloleni in the city where a 32-year-old man was injured in a fight over a woman.

The victim told police he was in his house with his girlfriend when a former boyfriend of the woman struck.

The intruder engaged the victim in a fight before pushing him off the first floor of his house and he landed on an iron sheet constructed structure sustaining injuries.

The assailant escaped from the scene after warning his former girlfriend who watched the drama in disbelief.

Police said the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was attended to. The assailant is still at large and efforts to find him are ongoing.

Nairobi police boss James Mugera said they are investigating the incidents with an aim of taking further action.

Cases of love triangles have been on the rise amid calls to parties to settle their issues amicably.

Elsewhere, police are investigating an incident in which a man was brought to a hospital in the Kasarani area with stab wounds and died minutes later.

Two bodaboda riders who had brought the victim to the hospital escaped from the scene soon after dropping him there.

They told an attendant at the Uhai Neema hospital they picked the victim from the roadside along Thika Highway with stab wounds.

And as the nurse was attending to the victim, the riders rode off. The victim died minutes later.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

A netizen decided to troll social media personality and model Keranta on her youtube channel over a vlog she'd posted.

In the said video, Keranta whined about how she needed to buy non-stick pans at this rate as cleaning the aluminum pots is hard and you have to soak them in water if you'd prepared something like ugali.

She asked people to plug her to places where she can get non-stick pots from. She also revealed that she loves hand washing clothes as opposed to doing dishes.

One of her viewers however felt the need to police the social media giant's life and decided to give his two cents.

The netizen, called Douglas wrote, "Buy non-stick pots and get yourself a washing machine. I thought you were a rich kid? What happened?"

Keranta replied that she wasn't yet there but she was headed to a different status quo.

"I'm from a humble background but I will get there don't worry," Keranta said.

"Mimi ata natumia pot za ushago and it doesn't bother me bora chakula I have and I am full. Ati coz I am a celeb? You all won't kill me with pressure as I see," Keranta posted.

"My dear social media family, let's stop giving each other stupid pressure, showing people that you are rich yet you are not. That's just living a lie. You see people with money and you want to copy them, live your life the best way you know how without pressure," Part of her Instastory post read.

She went on to encourageencouraging her followers that if they chose to do something let it not be out of social media influence or a need to impress. Only follow or do something if it benefits you.

She finished off by sending love to her fans and encouraging them to ignore social media pressure.

"Peace my loves, kataa pressure (refuse the need to be pressurized.)" she said.

Allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) said on Friday that they will increase support but will not grant Ukraine's request for the implementation of no-fly zones. "We are not part of this conflict, and we have a responsibility to ensure it does not escalate and spread beyond Ukraine," NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told a news conference. FKF Boss Nick Mwendwa, yesterday resigned from office leaving his duties to the Vice Prresident Mdam Doris Petra. Mwendwa noted that the frequent arrests have really affected his family.

Mwendwa was earlier on charged with four accounts of corruption. He denied all the charges and was slapped with a Ksh10 million bail or a bond of Ksh15 million to secure his release after being under police custody for four long days.
