During the flagging off of the WRC Safari Rally at the KICC yesterday, Jomo was spotted holding his little son who wore a white cap.

Thereafter, the president shared a light moment with his grandson. The little boy was born in 2020 and named after his grandfather, Jomo Kenyatta as per the Kikuyu tradition.

Sadio Mane joins Bayern Munich after 6 years with Liverpool.

The 30-year-old joins Bayern Munich on a three-year contract until June 30,2025.

During an interview, Mane revealed his reasons for the switch.
"I am very happy to finally be with FC Bayern Munich. We had a lot of talks and I felt the great interest of this big club from the start. So there was no doubt in my mind right from the start . This is the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, also internationally. During my time in Salzburg I followed many FC Bayern games, I like this club very much!"

Relief for Sakaja after Commission for University Education (CUE) withdrew a letter revoking his university degree.

The senator first received a green light from the IEBC on Sunday to run for governor after a case blocking him was dismissed.

The CUE withdrew the revocation after the senator filed a petition in the High Court.

The CUE had earlier asked Sakaja to present a number of things to defend his degree which included;
1. Letter of admission to University
2. His application for the course
3. Booklet that his name on it
4. Evidence of registration including student ID
5. Course description for the Bachelor of Science in Management
6. Credit Accumulation and Transfer System
7. Course Units taken
8. Transcripts
9. Examinations schedules
10. Receipts for the application fees, Tuition fees, Graduation and convocation, Names of lecturers that taught him, graduation photo while wearing a gown and evidence of the requisite credit hours covered.

Charity Ngilu has revealed why she opted to step down in the Kitui Gubernatorial bid.

There have been speculations that she is being considered for a senior position in government should Raila Odinga win the August 9, 2022 elections.

During the launch of Digital Mission for Ushanga Kenya, Ngilu stated that after being in elective politics for more than 30years, she has opted to start nurturing other women in leadership.

"I stepped down because I wanted to support women on a national level," Ngilu stated.

Deputy President William Ruto has questioned Raila Odinga’s academic credentials.

He said it is unknown what Mr Odinga studied and in which institution.

The Kenya Kwanza Presidential Candidate asked Mr Odinga to make public his papers and who he schooled with.

“Leave alone our Gubernatorial Candidate Johnson Sakaja. He went to school and graduated,” noted Dr Ruto.

He told the Deep State to stop wasting time fighting Mr Sakaja as he will defeat their Jubilee candidate in the August polls.

“It is your candidate (Raila) whose education is questionable,” he explained.

Dr Ruto was speaking today in Manga and Nyakoria in Nyamira County where he held several public rallies.

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga was on Sunday, June 12, forced to cut short his speech in Athi River after a fight broke out at his VIP dais.

Odinga, who was on a tour of the Ukambani region, witnessed the ugly faction wars between his supporters in Machakos County.

Trouble started when Azimio Chief Minister nominee Kalonzo Musyoka asked Chama Cha Uzalendo party leader Nzioka Waita to shelve his gubernatorial ambitions in favour of Wiper's Wavinya Ndeti.

Waita's supporters were not happy about the remarks given that the former State House Chief of Staff had stuck with Raila even after the fallout with Kalonzo.

When the former Prime Minister rose to address the crowd, he referenced Kalonzo's request but did not give a conclusive directive - only promising that a deal would be struck.

Odinga's speech was followed by a commotion in the VIP podium where two gentlemen were seen exchanging blows

In the video seen by Kenyans, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu was captured dashing towards Raila, where she got cover behind the former PM before the Azimio media team cut the livestream.

During the rally, Waita and Wavinya supporters were engaged in shouting battles when each of the leaders they were introduced by Raila and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kalonzo took to the podium to clarify claims that he had stated that those who rigged out Raila in the previous election had found their way to Azimio. He claimed that he had been misquoted and was only referring to the DP and not President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"When I spoke in Nakuru, I was misinterpreted, with some people saying that those who rigged elections are now working with us. I was talking about Ruto, not President Kenyatta, and I want this to be clarified," he added.

On his part, Raila continued to promote Azimio's manifesto, promising the people of Machakos free primary, secondary and university education. He also pledged recognition of skills in the jua kali sector through the adaptation the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.

The African High Representative for Infrastructure Development added that he would ensure that he provide medical services under the Baba care programme

He wants to replace the famous mitumba business with locally manufactured clothes.
He also made a statement that might have made him lose very many votes " hizi nguo ni za marehemu"

His statement has received mixed reactions from Kenyans. A lot of Kenyans were not happy to hear that one of their lucrative sources of income was crashing.

After the sermon, Pastor Samuel asked the congregation "If someone wants to give his or her to life to God lift your hand let me pray for you"

Nobody responded for about three times. Museveni went to the alter and said, If you want to give your life to God please lift up your hands, let pastor pray for you coz we want to have good citizens in the nations. Some guy lifted up his hands reluctantly. Museveni asked his bodyguard to give the guy Ugx 10million.

Museveni repeated the same statement again and this time round everybody's hands was up. Museveni turned to Pastor Samuel to pray for them but to his greatest surprise, Pastor Samuel's hand was also up."

Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi's wife Stella has died in a road crash on Tuesday morning, May 31.

The accident occurred along the Athi River -.Namanga road.

Kajiado County Commander Muthuri Mwongera confirmed the incident stating that the vehicle carrying Stella rammed into a lorry killing her on the spot.

The driver was injured and is currently admitted.

Bad news for Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka after he got locked out of the presidential race by the IEBC.

IEBC has remained with only 16 candidates out of the initial 56. The remaining 16 will however go through another advanced vetting process this coming Sunday..

Among all the 16 candidates, eight are independent candidates while the rest will be vying under their political parties.

The remaining independent candidates are; Faith Wairimu Ngigi, Gibson Ngaruiya Nganga, Dorothy Kemunto Nyangori, Eliud Muthiora Kariara, Jane Juliet Munyeki, Jeremiah Nyaga, Peter Mubiko King'ori and George Munyota Kamau.

Mike Mbuvi Sonko, who is vying for Mombasa gubernatorial seat under Wiper Party ticket today held a meeting with his rivals Abdulswamad Nassir and UDA's Hassan Omar.

Sonko shared pictures on his social media platforms to confirm that he was part and parcel of a meeting organized by the Mombasa Cmergy. The meeting was held on Saturday morning, May 28.

The ex Nairobi governor advised all candidates vying for different seats in the county to maintain peace and keep off divisive politics during the campaign period.
