Wajir County speaker Hon Abdille yussuf Launches Strategic Plan for ICT, Trade, and Cooperative Development.
Wajir County Speaker, Hon Abdille Yussuf, officiated the official launch of the Wajir County strategic plan for the departments of ICT, Trade, and Cooperative Development. The plan aims to provide cooperative groups with the necessary tools to prioritize their needs and access funds effectively, promoting unity and strength among the people and co-operatives. Additionally, the strategic plan is expected to reduce poverty and dependency on foreign investment while fostering social mobility development. Notably, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has partnered with the Wajir County Government as a sponsor for the strategic plan.
The launch event, held today, witnessed the presence of several notable figures in Wajir County's governance and administration. Among those in attendance were Hon. Issa Garore, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Trade and Investment, Mrs. Farhia Abdille, CECM for Public Service, Devolved Unit, Special Program, and Disaster Management, Mrs. Habiba Ali Maalim, CECM for Health, Saadia Ahmed Abdi, CECM for Land and Planning, Mr. Mohamud Abdirahman, CECM for Water, Mr. Farah Saman, CECM for Agriculture and Livestock, and Mrs. Rukia Olow, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for Trade and Investment.
The Wajir County strategic plan for ICT, Trade, and Cooperative Development sets out clear objectives to enhance the overall development of the county.
