Go to tertiary, get a good degree. Get a good job, get your congratulations. You made it. Get a good car. Start "living". After the upteenth girl, you get married, throw a mother of all weddings. Have kids, get them to speak English only. Get a 20+ year mortgage and buy a house in Gaborone. Work, work, work. Get promoted. Rank high, become a VVIP. You upgrade your lifestyle, bigger house, bigger mortgage and 2 bigger cars. You go to sleep & you wake, now you're 65. Its time to retire. You get your 1/3 pension payout plus your savings, your are now a cash millionaire. You pay off your mortgage and the cars. You then realise you need other things cos you dont have much to do since you no longer going to the office. You go back to your home village, build a big house fit for your "stature." They have to "feel" you. You move back home & rent out your townhouse to make money. Its around P4000 but the nikka you rent out to is a vandal and you spend most of the rent income on repairs on the house, 'cause you forgot to sign a lease and set rules. You notice the rent money is not enough. You decide to build a bar and butchery at your lil home village of 1500 people, you are now a 70 year old new business man, never too late to start ne? The lil bar & butchery doesnt bring in the same cash you used to rake in at your high ranking position, now at 75 you're still learning the basic baby steps of running a business. You decide maybe farming...yeah! the same one you abandoned cos you were way too "educated" to tilt the soil, a thing of peasants. You go ahead nonetheless & you buy, wait for it...a tractor!...to help small farmers turn the soil in exchange for a few hundred pulas. Its March that year and it wont rain till October, that machine will be parked for most of the year, so is that minibus...and the small truck you bought. You're down to your last few thousands and you're fast approaching 80.
