The Kenya National Examinations Council has released KCSE 2024 results.

1,693 candidates scored Grade A in the examination.
A total of 246,391 candidates scored C+ and above in the 2024 KCSE examination.
According to the education CS, 840 students who were caught cheating in the examination shall not receive their results. waliodanganya hawatapata matokeo
Ogamba adds that results for 2,829 are being held as investigation into their conduct during the exams are ongoing.

Friday, 1st November 2024 has been declared a public holiday to allow the swearing in of Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the 3rd Deputy president of Kenya. This comes hours after a three Judge bench of the High court lifted orders barring the swearing in of a new Deputy President.

The High court has temporarily stopped the replacement process of the Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua until 24th October when the matter shall be heard and determined. This comes hours after President William Ruto nominated interior CS Prof. Kithure Kindiki to fill the position of the Deputy President that was left vacant last evening after the senate voted to uphold the decision by the National Assembly to impeach his former deputy. The National Assembly of Kenya had shortly before this court order was issued, voted in favor of President Ruto's nominee for Deputy president.

Breaking News: Deputy President Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua has been Ousted by the Senate. This comes even as he is admitted at Karen Hospital after he complained of chest pains during the ongoing of his ouster motion in the Senate earlier today.
Gachagua becomes the first Deputy/Vice president to be impeached in Kenya. Gachagua has been impeached on 5 grounds out of 11 which were leveled against him. The grounds approved by the Senate are counts 1, 4, 5, 6 & 9.
