21 things you need to do before you sit down to start recording your First podcast episode.

- Create your podcast vision
- Know your overall podcast goal
- Get crystal clear about what your target audience wants to know about
- Map out your podcast content
- Plan and structure your episodes
- Research your competition and find your UVP
- Know where your podcast fits into your business
- Know what kind of show you want to produce solo, interview, or mix
- Decide on a length for your episodes
- Create your podcast name
- Create a podcast description, who you are, what you do and how you are the expert.
- Create your cover art
- Map out your products and services you would like to highlight in your Call to actions
- Plan out how you will showcase your podcast on your website
- Choose theme music
- Create your Intro & Outro script
- Create podcast trailer script
- Purchase equipment
- Choose a podcast-hosting site
- Choose where you will record
- Create your first three episode scripts

Only once you’re done ALL these steps should you even START to THINK about recording your episodes.

A lot of people think they struggle to have a successful podcast because they don’t have the right MIC or Tech.

Over the past three years these are the Top three mistakes I see people making when launching a podcast.
 (I know your not doing it on purpose. Those pitfalls can always get us if we don’t have the right information.)
  1. Recording episodes without a plan or strategy in place first
When you start recording podcast episodes without a plan in place you are not setting yourself up for success. Without a plan you are creating random podcast episodes that have no goal or purpose.
Set yourself up for the best results with a strategy and plan that you can follow.
  2. Launching your podcast and expecting people to flock to it
Just uploading your podcast isn’t enough to attract listeners to your podcast.
 You need to let people know you have a podcast. Promote your podcast 2-3x a week and make sure you are promoting your episodes on platforms your ideal listeners hang out. 
3. Not keeping a constant schedule
 Your podcasting but you don’t have a set day your upload your podcast.
 This unfortunately is not a good look, people are less likely to listen to your podcast because they have no idea what day it comes out.
 When you are able to keep a consistent schedule your listeners can rely on you to upload your podcast that day. This also build trust between you and the listener.
 And consistency can be what ever works for you once a week ever two weeks. just let your audience know when they can expect the next show.

If you dream it, It might actually come true. 
a hidden brain Hack behind setting Podcast Goals! 🧠🌟 
Have you heard of speaking it into existence? A practice of manifesting your desires. 
When you set goals, you are manifesting your dreams! 
This may be a link to the Reticular Activating System (RAS), a part of your brain responsible for filtering information and directing your attention. 
Research shows that setting specific and challenging goals can actually enhance your performance and lead to better results! 
🌟 When you set clear and ambitious goals, your brain is stimulated to create a roadmap for achieving them. 
And setting goals helps you develop a growth mindset, where you view challenges and setbacks as opportunities for learning and improvement. 
🌱This mindset fosters resilience and perseverance, enabling you to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward in your podcasting journey.

 I see some people mistaking their podcast host website as a place to be searchable online. ❌ NOT true make sure you are hosting your shownotes on your own website to increase your chances of leading people to you and Not your podcast hosts site.
 They can’t find out more about you there and what your offer from your podcast host website!  😕

Hey everyone! 👋 If you're planning to take a break from your podcast, there are a few things you should consider to avoid losing followers. Here are some tips:

🎙️ Let your audience know when you'll be taking a break and when you'll be back with new content. This way, your listeners will know when to expect new episodes.

🎙️ Stay visible by engaging with your audience on social media. Post about older episodes and create stories or short videos about why you love certain episodes.

🎙️ Consider starting seasons for your podcast, so you can plan breaks right along with your content. Give your listeners a heads up in advance so they know when you'll be taking a break.

🎙️ Share some of your favorite past episodes and give context in the intro on why you're re-releasing them.

Remember, taking a break is crucial to avoid podfade, so don't be afraid to take time off. Use these tips to keep your audience engaged and informed during your podcast break.
