This week we paid a courtesy call to HelpageInternatinal.
Did you know that Kenyans over 60 are the fastest-growing population in Kenya at 2.7 million; with the majority being female.
The population growth is due to wealth, better health, improved nutrition, and advanced technology in treatment, early intervention, and cure of diseases that have increased life expectancy.
Unfortunately, more than half of this population live in absolute poverty and continue to face age discrimination including gender-based violence.
Moral of the story, we're all ageing. We need to prepare our old age beds.
