KeNHA 2023 Scholarship Opportunities Open For Applications

(KeNHA) is implementing the Multinational road project funded by AfDB bank and European Union (EU)

KeNHA is thus calling on unemployed youths to apply for the scholarship that will train and offer internship opportunities during the construction of the road under Multinational road project

Qualifications
a) Aged between 18 and 35 years old with no formal training at Diploma level or above;
b) Able to read and write with KCSE or KCPE Certificates;
c) Dropped out of school with no formal training;

Priority will be given to
a) Youth who are orphaned and/or those from single parenthood families,
b) Young single mothers who meet the qualifications;
c) Applicants who are categorized as persons living with disability

Benefits of the Scholarship
i. Tuition and Examination Fee
ii. Material Requirements for the courses
iii. Monthly stipend or subsistence allowance for each beneficiary
iv. Certification after completion of the course
v. Internship offer

Nyandarua county Government Director of Youth Empowerment Mr. Jackson Muiruri, DanChurchAid’s Senior Advisor on Resilience, Market-Based Programming, Advocacy and Learning Ms. Karin Thomsen interacts with Nyandarua youth trained on bee rearing in conjunction with His Excellency (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie.

The 10-day training at Kinangop Vocational Training Centre focused on sustainable agriculture and youth empowerment by enhancing the capacity of young people to invest in honey production and processing.

The initiative is part of the Governor’s long-term agenda of promoting sustainable bee-keeping and ecological balance in each Sub-County.

In collaboration with DanchurchAid and other stakeholders, the Governor has trained more than 1,500 youths across Nyandarua on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and other life skills.
Ms. Thomsen later held consultations with a youth panel in Ol’Kalou.

Present were Youth Officer Mr. Samuel Karara, alongside Ajira Poa’s Mr. Elly Ruuri (Project Co-ordinator), Mr. James Mburu (Project Officer) and Ms. Oliver Jemuge (Project Officer).
