I know it’s been a minute actually one month since I’ve posted content. But I promise you all I’ve been working working!! Busy Saving lives (Nurse Life), decorating my hotel rooms (travel nurse life), attending to my family (they are my “Why”) and my businesses (small business support...I’m Big on that) and exploring the scenes (omg...my list of recommendations & places to visit just grew) so that I can bring y’all some even more Dope content!!! Hey loves💕 So today was my Self Care Sunday and I enjoyed my facial and being extra kind to my skin today.

Happy MLK Day Lovessss❤️❤️❤️

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day we enjoy our family tradition. We listen to Dr. King’s speech, take turns reading the Dr. King books that we own, we watch and discuss the injustices than vs. now, and the progress our country has made and still needs to make. We started this years ago in teaching our sons that we all make a difference in shaping the world that we live in for a better tomorrow.
So today we decided to add/try something new. Since we couldn’t visit in person than we decided to check out the virtual 360 tour of: Dr. King’s legacy in Memphis and toured The National Civil Right’s Museum. Continuing his legacy...The Dream!!! Last year, during part of 2020...I lost my joy!!! I was blessed in so many ways but couldn’t figure out what around me was soooooo draining!! Why did I feel this way pre-covid! Well during covid it only got worse. I wasn’t the Keona I knew. So I had to do some soul searching. Reinvent me. I had to Get rid of the toxic and birth the greatness that is destined for me to be! Which is where came from! 2020 taught me a lot. Who I was. Who I was not. Where I wanted to be in life and how I was going to get there. What I needed to appreciate more of and less of. While I was pronouncing others loved ones on their death bed & was the only one at their side... I knew in those moments I had to make a change. I love what I do. I love being a Nurse!! But it was time I pivoted and do it on my terms. It was time that I celebrate and spend more time with my own loved ones because if there’s anything that isn’t guaranteed then it’s most certainly time. So here’s to 🥂
