2 Kings 20
1. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

2. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord,

3. “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

4. Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him:

5. “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.

6. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.’ ”

We can be sure that God is working in and through EVERY prayer 🤲🤲🙏

*A CALL TO LIVE A LIFE OF PRAYER.*
*Prayer kills sin, but sin also kills Prayer.* This is probably the most interesting concept in Christian Spirituality.

It's said, that *the sinning man stopped praying, and the praying man stopped sinning.*

It's very easy to do every other thing and not pray. It's easier to evangelize than to pray.
It's easier to tune in on radio the whole day and not pray.
It's *easier to attend church departmental meetings and not pray.*
It's so easy to be *busy in church and never pray.*

*A person who is struggling with a certain sin but prays for at least 1hr a day will soon overcome it.*

That man or woman is *better than a religious person who runs around being busy but has no prayer life*. He or she is bound to fall in sin or hypocrisy.

Am I saying we should pray and not work for God? Of course not. You got to be useful in the vineyard

But *if you find out that your prayer life is dead as a result of being so busy serving, then go back and re-ignite your prayer life.*

*During the time of Jesus, prayer was more important to Him than preaching or casting out demons.*

He knew too well that for him *to have power, he had to spend time in Prayer.*

So, *Pray. It's the lifeblood of your Christian life.*
