The One-Term Journey
Ruto, a leader with a vision bright,
Took the helm, embraced the fight.
With promises of change, of hope anew,
A nationโs heart, he aimed to pursue.
But the promises, though bold and grand,
Faded like footprints in shifting sand.
The โhustlerโ dream, a voice for the poor,
Left many waiting for much, but receiving no more.
Abductions in the shadows, fear in the air,
While the cries for justice echoed, everywhere.
Young voices rose, in anger and despair,
The Genzs rioted, lost in their care.
The tax went high, the burden grew,
A heavy weight, with little to view.
What was promised, now out of reach,
A nation left questioning, each speech.
One term, a short and fleeting span,
Yet the echoes linger across the land.
Ruto, a figure, both praised and scorned,
For what was achieved, and what was mourned.
The hopes were high, the future was bright,
But the shadows crept in, dimming the light.
A president with a vision to steer,
Yet some dreams shattered, still unclear.
Though his time was brief, his story is told,
In the history of Kenya, both young and old.
The promises unkept, the pain still remains,
A one-term leader, with unfilled gains.
