The Kisii National Polytechnic Cultural week festival was one of its kind.
Such celebration are vital as they promote unity, diversity, and heritage within communities in any institution set up. They provide a platform to showcase traditions, music, games, dance, food, and attire, fostering appreciation and respect for different cultures. These events also encourage social interaction, creativity, and learning, especially among students and young people, helping to preserve cultural identity and strengthen community bonds. Truly, Kisii poly comrades defined the meaning of the 2025 cultural festival.
Thank you for hosting Hon. Water Okelo, the Founder & Patron Walter Okelo Mentorship Program as the Guest of Honor during the modeling competition.

Shared a light moment with Hon. Sammy Weya, an esteemed Agric- Expert, on Monday, 12th May 2025
Our conversation focused on youth empowerment in agribusiness, and I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of various fruit and tree seedling species and their vital role in enhancing human life and environmental sustainability.

Learning is indeed a continuous journey—grateful for such enriching interactions that inspire growth and innovation in agriculture.

We are elated to proclaim the unequivocal triumph of our recent multifarious initiative graced by Charlene Ruto , the Super Youth Champion & Climate Action. The initiative convened at Ambrose Adeya Adongo Secondary School in Siaya County, Alego Usonga Constituency, an assemblage that magnetized an impressive congregation exceeding 2,500 individuals, unified in a day devoted to profound impact, edification, and altruistic endeavor.

The event encompassed:
Mentorship program wherein students were imbued with indispensable life competencies, vocational direction, and invigorating orations imparted by erudite and consummate professionals led by Keynote speaker, Dr. Edward Okinda, PhD.

Tree planting program that advanced ecological custodianship, as myriad saplings of 2305 seedlings were meticulously planted throughout the school campus, reinforcing sustainable consciousness.

A sanguine donation campaign, which witnessed a laudable influx of contributors, thereby bolstering local medical infrastructures and effectuating lifesaving interventions.

This holistic endeavor cultivated a robust ethos of civic conscientiousness, environmental sagacity, and self-actualization among both the student body and the broader community. Our deepest appreciation extends to the partners, volunteers, and participants whose unwavering commitment undergirded the success of this initiative.

United in purpose, we are cultivating intellects, greening our environment, and preserving lives.
Karibu tena Ms Charlene.

Catching up with my brothers and friend, Kisii university president emeritus Hon Ken Chemase & Laban Macharia in Nairobi, Kenya. We took a moment to reflect on the cherished days when we served as student leaders at Kisii University—committed to upholding equity and equality for the mighty comrades we proudly represented.
Though time has moved on, our passion for service to humanity and environment remains unwavering. We continue to stay agile and focused on addressing issues that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and impact our communities at large.
Thank you Fidel Lagat Denilson for hosting us at your office in Bunge Towers Nairobi.

Conversation geared towards youth empowerment.
Through super youth champion, Charlene Ruto., ACSAP-Kenya, we had a morning interactive session with the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Executive Office of the President Eliud Owalo to discuss pertinent issues embedded on education, climate change mitigation and youth empowerment. As youths of this nation, we are ready for the intergenerational conversation to leverage on the creativity & innovative among the youths with respect to the experience from the office bearers.
Through Eliud Owalo Foundation, we shall explore to create positive impacts to our society.

Walter Okelo Mentorship Program continues with the journey of positively impacting lives of the young people in all spheres.
On Saturday, 29th March, the program through the Patron Jaramogi Okelo Walter sponsored the highly heated Western-Nyanza University Debate competition that was scheduled at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. The patron reminded the young debators to always learn the aspect of the leadership DNA and good public speaking that define the true leadership in young people today.

We say thank you to the University Administration for the warm reception and hospitality.
