DONT GIVE UP THAT DREAM

I know people look at me and think that I have put up these walls around me, and it's true. But I have long stopped wondering if that's even a bad thing. Afterall, they only see what I allow them to see. No one knows how hard it really is to get up in the morning knowing you're about to give up on another dream because things just aren't working out, no one hears the muffled cries through the pillow in the middle of the night when the thoughts drown you.

I can cope up with the world. I'm a fighter, and I know I can put on a straight face in front of my people despite everything falling apart. But it's just comforting to know that when I'm by myself, I can allow sadness to catch up. To feel. It reminds me that the world hasn't numbed me down yet. Somehow, it makes the beautiful things all the more worth looking forward to.
