Five Habits to leave in 2023 for a better 2024:
1. Not praying. Whether you pray for you or you don't, they are some praying for you and at times their prayers ain't anything good. Pray For yourself, take control of your life and speak to God about yourself. He is always listening and waiting.

2. Scrolling your phone all through. Not unless you do social media management work, switching from one social platform to another is a major time waste.

3. Doubting yourself. Lack of confidence in ones self makes them be oppressed and misused by people who see their potential better than they do. There are people doing what you can do in less excellent ways than you can, they are shining and growing coz they took a step of faith. Let go of the fear and become who you are meant to be. Start afraid,unsure and scared, along the line,confidence will be built.

4. Negative self talk. Your words manifest to things. You might be conscious of this or not, but the negative talk you speak to yourself and about yourself, you need to let it go. If you don't believe in yourself and be positive about yourself,who will.

5. Not loving yourself enough. We show love for ourselves by the things we do to ourselves or allow others do to us. If you've allow people to oppress you and you are a doormat, you inhibit your own progress. Stop being a people pleaser and stand up for you. Remember it's form ourselves that we spread the love to others. Be kind to you and it shall flow to others.
Remember it's the small efforts we make each day that translates to the big goals we set. Don't neglect discipline even when nothing is seen out of it at the present, by and by, you shall reap from your hard work.

Naftali Kinuthia sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing Ivy Wangeci in 2019!
Kinuthia hacked Wangeci to death with an axe at MTRH.
In his defence during the case Kinuthia that he was enraged by Wangeci who he claims to have had a sexual relationship with decision to get involved with another man.
Making his ruling in a court in Eldoret justice Reuben Githinji said there was no proof to show existence of a romantic relationship between the two.

The two ladies below suffered the brutality of Nairobi County Kanju officers when their merchandise were destroyed as they tried to eche a living for themselves.

Quite sad sights these were to behold. One of the ladies is actually disabled and was dragged by the Kanju officers her pleas for mercy falling on deaf ears.

We celebrate Eric Omondi who took up the cases for these women and was able to raise over 600k for each of them.

God bless you Eric Omondi and may you never lack.

If for one reason or the other you have found yourself in this institution, you might have left inspired and hopeful like I did.

I felt as if I was in a world far away from Kenya and also as if I wasn't in a public institution. I couldn't help but admire the brain behind this timely investment in the health sector.

The fact that systems and human resource worked seamlessly in this place struck me with awe for the countless hours I spent in this place.

Having worked in a hospital some time back and experienced one on one how huge a task it is to have the systems and the human beings serving in a hospital work harmoniously, I wondered what magic has been used in this hospital.

The fact that a public hospital can have clean washrooms being used by the patients/public and they have toilet papers and no one is stealing those tissues! Eish this didn't appear to be Kenya! The spotless floors and the arts on the walls! The ready to help staff in whichever unit you walk into!

All is not lost! There is hope for our nation. There is hope for our public institutions. That they can serve the public to whose good they are put up with dignity and pride. That public servants can be kind and humane, that a smile from a perfect stranger offering you a service can sooth an aching heart and body!

The medal and awards givers, this is a commendable piece of work and it would only be fair if we give credit where it's due.

Kudos to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital team for the great job you guys are doing!

Mugambi residents in the outskirts of Nanyuki are a troubled lot. This is after a construction project that is being said to be the affordable housing by the government has kicked off in the area.

The residents have expressed their discontent with the development stating that no public participation was conducted before the starting of the project.

The affluent neighborhood is known for its calm and serene environment, which has attracted the well to do in Nanyuki and the political class.

The residents are speculating that a private developer is hiding under the affordable housing project, to set up a high rise building in the area that hardly has any storey house.

They have sworn to do everything within their means to get to know the actual developer of the said plot.

It has refused laughter in Laikipia. It's seems the great citizens of this county bit a huge chank than they could swallow in electing their leaders.

One year later after assuming office, the citizens are airing frustrations that there is nothing good to write home about the current administration.
With poor state of road network greatly affecting their day today mobility and transportation of farm produce. It's a surprising change of tune for a people who were so loud in opposing the previous regime with slogans like "we can't eat tarmac!"
Poor beings!

The health sector has also slumped into a deplorable state with many complaining of the bad attitude of medics and staffers in various departments. The laboratory sector at Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital being the most mentioned area by unsatisfied patients who have been forced to wait hours on for their lab results a thing which wasn't happening in the past.

Drug shortage is also creeping in with the elderly across the county expressing fear as they are not able to access their essential drugs and are also not in a position to access the stipulated non-communicable disease clinics. Their cry being that the government of the day would deliver it's promise of improving the health sector.

With just one year spent, it's appears to be a long stretch for Laikipians who can't wait for the next elections.

Sad thing is that when elections come, emotions are whipped and the masses end up making the same mistake of electing bad leaders who leave them high and dry.

Archbishop Anthony Muheria has urged the government to reconsider the prices of fuel, stating that whereas the war at Russia and Ukraine has an effect in the pricing of oil globally, the effect isn't as huge as the recently announced fuel prices indicate.

Muheria has also urged the government to have the common mwananchi at heart while implementing their economic model, saying the various taxes the government has introduced have a direct effect on the common mwananchi.

"Buying kerosine at above Ksh. 200 is too high a cost for for low income earners. Also the boda sector, where people have been paying 50 bob, the price will go high,so many people will not be able to go and earn a living."

Laikipia residents who are users of LHS Kalalu are calling upon the county government to replenish their drugs supply, saying it's been months since they got the essential drugs. Most are now afraid they will die due to the inconsistence in which they are getting their drugs supply.

"We are afraid we will die if the county government does nothing to supply our drugs within the shortest time possible. We have been getting drugs from staff at the hospital who have been buying for us with their own money. We can't pay them back and we don't know what else to do. It's been months since we got our drugs."

"Which drugs are these?" "All drugs for diabetes and hypertension. The only available drugs in these hospital are painkillers." Kalalu resident.

The residents are also urging the county government to bring back the mobile clinics that used to go on in their facilities saying with the tough economic times they can't afford to pay transport to Nanyuki where the clinics are conducted.

There has been complains from other outlets across the county of drugs shortage with the locals now calling upon the county government to prioritize health.
