I'm old enough to confess that life is indeed a mystery. I've seen a Landlord becoming a tenant before his death. I've seen an owner of a ' Benz' pedaling a bicycle. I know a student who became the headmaster in his former school with most of those who taught him still teaching. I have seen once rejected boy becoming the bread winner for a whole community. A once sought-after lady begging a young guy half her age to date her. A victor becoming a victim. A driver's conductor buying a car for his master. A borrower recruiting the credit manager.

In life, no one knows tomorrow & you can never trust life, because its mysterious. Never ever forget,U may not know the full story, don't be quick to judge, every coin has two sides. Treat everyone in your life fairly like your own & love as much as you live. So let us be kind, love more & do not try to be smart in our own eyes; for we do not know what tomorrow holds for us.......

DEAR WOMEN.

Sometimes I feel nature is unfair to you. But you are a miracle.

It's you who bleeds blood every month with severe pains and crams. Even in those pains, you still have to put things together for a normal day. The cooking, washing, etc.

It's you who carry another human inside you for 9months. The inconvenience, the discomfort, the sacrifice, and carefulness. You sacrifice what makes you happy just to keep another life healthy.

When it's time to deliver, your life is on the line. It's a 50/50 chance for you. You may live and you may die. But being the life-giver you are, you will choose the life of a new stranger over yours.

Even the process is not favorable to you. Either the pains of childbirth or surgery.

After it all, you still carry yourself up and continue life activities with bandage and pains. But what is miraculous about this all is the smile you put on your face while facing all this.

A beer company was hiring a taster, Someone to taste the beers before they are taken for selling.

So they placed adverts and one afternoon, an old man walked into the manager's office asking to be employed.

The manager tried to figure out how he could drive him away but couldn't come up with an idea, so he decided to give him a trial. He ordered his secretary to give him a glass of wine 🍷

He took a sip and said, "It's Red wine, Varietal, three years old, grown on rift valley, matured in steel containers."

"That's correct!" The manager exclaimed, "Well give him another one let's see." So he was given.

He took a sip again and said, "It's Guinness, a combination of barley, roast malt extract, and brewers yeast brewed around Thika road in Nairobi, Kenya 2 years ago"

"Incredible!" said the manager.

Now the manager went closer to the secretary and whispered to her saying, "Go get some of your urine in a cup let's see if he will get that."

So, the mzee was given the cup of urine. He took a sip, turned to the manager and said, "Female urine, 26 years old, 2 weeks pregnant and if I'm not given this job, Sir I will tell your wife who is responsible for the pregnancy"

I don't know at a personal level but I admire her resilience and hard work. I love her so much as if she is my own sister and it broke my heart today when I saw her videos and appeal for help. She is a talented artist who has done a lot for her age as she is only 14 years. Her mum is sick and she is now the caregiver I understand her pain because I started being a caregiver at a very young age and what that does it robs you of the chance of being a child. Let's help her take the burden off her shoulder. For those of us who can please donate 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, any amount that will help in saving her mum's life.

*Luxury*
Just some thoughts on Luxury ....

In the 60s a Car was a luxury.
In the 70s a Television was a luxury.
In the 80s a Telephone was a luxury.
In the 90s a Computer was a luxury...

Luxury is no more going on a cruise and eating food prepared by a renowned chef.

Luxury is eating fresh organic food grown in your own backyard.

Luxury is not having an elevator in your house.

Luxury is the ability to climb 3-4 stories of stairs without difficulty.

Luxury is not the ability to afford a huge refrigerator.

Luxury is the ability to eat freshly cooked food 2-3 times a day.

Luxury is not having a home theatre system and watching the Himalayan expedition.

Luxury is physically experiencing the Himalayan expedition.

Luxury is not getting treatment from the most expensive hospital in the USA.

So what is a Luxury now??

Being healthy, being happy, being in a happy marriage, having a loving family, being with loving friends, living in an unpolluted place .

All these things have become rare. And these are the real *"LUXURY"*

A dog 🐕 was so loyal to a woman so much that he left his baby with him and went for a quick run. She always returns to find the boy soundly asleep with the dog. One day something tragic happened.
The woman, as usual, left the baby in the hands of this faithful dog and went shopping.

When he returned, he discovered a horrific scene, and there was total disaster. The baby wasn't in his crib, his diapers and his clothes were in pieces, with blood stains all over the bedroom. In shock, the frightened woman began looking for the baby. Suddenly he saw the faithful Dog emerge from under the bed, covered in blood everywhere licking his mouth as if he had just finished a delicious meal.

The woman was convinced the dog had eaten her baby. Without thinking much about it, she beat the dog to death with a wood. Then the investigation continued to at least find part of his son's body. Soon she leaves another scene. Behind the bed was the well-formed baby who was naked and had fun on the carpet. Under the bed the woman discovered the body of a snake that had been torn apart. It was a fierce battle between the snake and the dog. The dog fought to protect the baby from the ravenous snake. It was too late for her now to make peace because, in her impatience and anger, she had killed the faithful dog.

How often do we judge people with harsh words and spread lies about them before taking time to evaluate the situation?.

KITCHEN TIPS From Africa

1. Never store Onions and Potatoes together because both produce a gas that causes either of them to spoil quickly.

2. Put two or three orange leaves in your hot palm oil on the fire. Let the leaves turn black before removing it. By then your palm oil becomes pure groundnut oil also giving your food a nice taste.

3. To avoid feeling a peppering hotness on your hands after cutting pepper with bare hand scrub your hand with salt and red oil then wash it.

4. If you happen to over salt a pot of soup, just drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb the excess salt.

5. If your Soup or Stew goes sour while warming it, add little piece of Charcoal and remove after warming, the taste will come back.

6. Never put citrus fruits (oranges, lemon, lime, etc) or tomatoes in the fridge. The low temperature degrades the aroma and flavor of these fruits.

7. When storing empty airtight containers, throw in a pinch of salt to keep them from getting stinky.

8. If your salt is becoming lumpy, put a few grains of rice in with it to absorb excess moisture.

9. To reuse cooking oil without tasting whatever was cooked in the oil previously, cook a 1/4" piece of ginger in the oil. It will remove any remaining flavors and odors.

10. Canceled the untenable fuel subsidy as well as cut down our expenditure by 300bn.

Just after I received my fee structure from Moi University for my PhD, totalling Kshs. 850,000 in 2019, I met my Dad, at Cooperative bank in Nairobi CBD.

I explained to him that I had the admission letter and he smiled.
I told him however, "Baba, there is a problem. They need Kshs. 850,000."

He held my hands, then slowly but reassuringly, said, "Just Begin, my son.

To ensure his point went home, he got into his account and gave me Kshs. 14,000 in an account that had Kshs. 20,000.

I was touched.

I added Kshs. 16000 and paid
Kshs.30,000 into the account, and my journey to PhD began.

Today, having reached the dream, I remember the words of my father...'Just Begin.'

In everything you do, always remember, JUST BEGIN.

Just begin, no matter how difficult it seems to be.

It appeared to be difficult, but as time lapsed, I realised dad was right.

At some point before my defence, I gave up.

I still had a solid Kshs.300,000 to pay and they wouldn't give me a chance for my final defence.

Then came a very unlikely help.

I had supported a lady to undertake a project evaluation two times in the year. I received her call cautiously asking me to meet her. She was carrying a brown envelope in her hand.

She began, " you will forgive me if you find my action inappropriate. For two consecutive times you have given me a job without asking for a Cent.

This is very unusual with many people. I did not know how to approach you, but I am deep with gratitude. Please accept my small gift."

I quickly peered into the envelope and saw they were two bundles, likely in hundreds. She confirmed that it was Kshs. 200,000.

I couldn't believe it. The words of my father," My son, just begin" came to mind.

Don't worry how it will end.
Just begin.

If you are building a house, just begin.

If you are planning to buy land, just begin.

If you want to continue with your education, just begin.
