𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗠𝗣 𝗧𝗶𝗺 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆

Westlands Member of Parliament, Hon. Tim Wanyonyi, has officially inaugurated four state-of-the-art Junior Secondary School (JSS) classrooms at Lower Kabete Primary School. The new classrooms, constructed through the Westlands NG-CDF, mark a significant milestone in the constituency’s commitment to enhancing education infrastructure.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hon. Wanyonyi emphasized the importance of providing a conducive learning environment for children.

“We must always resolve to give our children the best infrastructure to ensure they enjoy learning without challenges. Some of these classrooms were donated by President William Ruto, who has also allocated additional funds for more JSS classrooms. He has assured us of continued support, and we encourage more children to enroll in school. Education is the great equalizer for children from all backgrounds,” said Hon. Wanyonyi.

The MP further reiterated his commitment to expanding educational facilities, announcing plans to construct an additional four classrooms at the school in the near future.

“As leaders, we must ensure our children have the opportunity to learn and play. If a child is denied a proper childhood, they will face challenges in the future. I wish you well and hope you continue delivering quality education to our children. We are supposed to build at least 10 JSS classrooms in this school, and I assure you that we will complete four more soon,” he added amid applause from attendees.

NG-CDF Commitment to High-Quality School Infrastructure

Speaking at the event, Frida Lenayasa, Chairlady of the Westlands NG-CDF, highlighted the constituency’s ongoing efforts to uplift school standards.

“We are here today to hand over these four classrooms, which were built in the 2023/2024 financial year through NG-CDF Westlands. As you can see, they are modern and beautiful. Hon. Tim Wanyonyi has insisted that everything in Westlands must be of high quality. Our goal is to uplift the standards of all schools in the constituency. The new classrooms include three on the ground floor and one upstairs, and we hope to complete four additional classrooms on the upper floor once we receive more funding,” she stated.

School Administration Expresses Gratitude

Lower Kabete Primary School Headteacher, Elizabeth Akin, expressed her appreciation for the MP’s unwavering support in improving school facilities.

“We made a request, and you came through for us. We are so happy and grateful. We continue to pray that God elevates you to even greater heights,” she said.

'Economy for who!' CS Muturi Calls Out President Ruto Over Abductions, Extrajudicial Killings

Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Justin Muturi has once again criticized the government over cases of abductions and extrajudicial killings, taking direct aim at his boss, President William Ruto.

Addressing the media on Friday at City Mortuary, where the bodies of two of four young men abducted in Mlolongo were found, Muturi expressed outrage at the continued disappearance and murder of Kenyan youths.

“This is murder most foul. It is only fair that, at this point, the country shelves any other business to discuss this matter of abductions and extrajudicial killings,” he said, calling for an immediate halt to such incidents and a full investigation into the growing crisis.

“It is not right that parents like these can go for over 40 days searching for their loved ones while we sit somewhere claiming to be discussing the economy. Economy for who? If we are killing and abducting young people, then who are we building the economy for?” he posed.

Muturi decried what he described as the normalization of extrajudicial killings, saying the government has a duty to protect its citizens rather than preside over their deaths. He also emphasized that during the campaign period, President Ruto vowed to end forced disappearances, yet they continue unabated.

“The buck must stop somewhere. Mr. President, I am calling upon you now to order an end to these abductions and open an inquiry to examine how these things have been happening. We cannot normalize this. These are very young lives that have been taken away. Their parents have been agonizing,” he stated.

He proposed the formation of a commission of inquiry comprising representatives from the Law Society of Kenya, religious groups, and civil society organizations such as Amnesty International Kenya and the Kenya Human Rights Commission to unearth the truth.

Muturi dismissed calls for his resignation over his criticism of the government, arguing that the primary responsibility of any administration is to safeguard lives and property.

“Resignation is a side issue. It suffices that I sit in government. I am calling on the government to ensure this matter is discussed,” he asserted.

The CS also questioned Kenya’s diplomatic priorities, criticizing the country’s involvement in conflict resolution in the Democratic Republic of Congo while failing to address killings within its borders.

“Why are we allowing young people to be kidnapped and later found killed? What a country are we and we are pretending to be resolving issues in DRC. The number of people who have died is so high that it should prick the conscience of any right-thinking leader,” he said.

Muturi’s remarks come after the bodies of Martin Mwau and Justus Mutumwa—who were among four men who went missing in Mlolongo last December—were found at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly known as City Mortuary.

For over a month, their families have been searching for answers regarding their disappearance.

On January 12, Muturi made a damning revelation, alleging that his son, Leslie Muturi, had been abducted and later released by National Intelligence Service (NIS) officers following an order by President William Ruto.

A light aircraft crashed at Kedong Ranch in Naivasha, killing both people(Couples) on board.

The Cessna 185 had departed Wilson Airport for Mbaruk before crashing around 5:14 PM.

Rescue efforts of other people were hampered by poor terrain and weather.

Authorities, including the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), are investigating the cause of the crash.

This incident follows a similar accident in Malindi earlier in January.

BREAKING: Martin Nzyuko Mwau’s body, second man out of the three who went missing in Mlolongo also found at City Mortuary in Nairobi.

This comes soon after the body of Justus Mutumwa was also identified at the same facility.

Mutumwa had gone missing on December 16, 2024, alongside Mwau and Karani Muema.
