Hon Mohamud Maalim was born on 4th july 1953, in Takaba. started his education career at Elwak D.E.B Primary School proceeded to Wajir High School for his Secondary education and later Nakuru High for his form six (6). Eng Mumad afterwards joined the prestigious University of Nairobi pursuing a Bechaelor of Science in Civil Engineering and holds a Masters of Science in Enviromental Engineering from the same University. Hon Ambassador Mohamud is a member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya,a registered engineer with the Engineers’ Registration Board of Kenya, and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He holds a Bachelor of Science Kenya, served in the ministry of Water development from 1979 to 1989 and in that span of 10 year he reached the level of Deputy Director. served as the chief engineer in Water Conservation and pipeline Cooperation. hon Mumad served as an Ambassador 5 countries and later became a permanent secretary in the three ministries.

Contributed greatly to the bilateral relations between Kenya and the countries of accreditation especially in the areas of trade and investment. Played an important role in Kenya’s search for peace in Sudan and Somalia where Egypt was a key player in both initiatives. Initiated prisons and Immigration reforms in Kenya

As a leader, he has continued to lobby for more resources for our County and other marginalized areas in Kenya. Defended the allocation to counties in the Annual Division of Revenue Bills. Senate made a tremendous impact on the vertical allocation of revenue between National and County Governments. Hon. Mumad’s role in the 3rd basis of revenue sharing among counties stood out clearly. Against all odds, defeated the machinations of the Executive out to disenfranchise some counties. Third basis formula a ‘Big Win’ for frontier counties.

KIAMBU COUNTY COMMANDER, ALI NUNO; is a peace loving Kenyan and an outstanding officer who always puts the safety and the security of Kenyans first. He has shown such actions on many occasions; the latest been his timely response to stop an impending clash at Karuri primary school between the Jubilee Party and UDA; otherwise known as Tangatanga.

Kiambaa was tense on Sunday as political campaigns pitted the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) against Jubilee Party ahead of the much-anticipated bye-election.

Both parties were competing for the Karuri Primary School grounds, where they planned to hold campaign rallies. Parties were about to clash and if it wasn't for The County Commander's swift action by proactively alerting his officers on the ground, there would have been a devastating effects and bizarre news coming from Kiambaa today.

The County Police Boss had to immediately dispatch officers to the grounds who cordoned off around the Karuri primary School to stop what was seen as an impending clash between the two parties.

Kiambu County Commander, Ali Nuno later announced that the planned rallies at the grounds had been cancelled.

However UDA party defied the instructions by the police and went unruly in the streets to rally along the roads. Even as UDA refused to respect the instructions and warnings to disperse, the police didn't interrupt as they continued disdainfully and disrespectifully with their polemics alongside the roads.

Following the growing political tension in the country, the National Security Advisory Council has now directed that the convener of any public meeting shall notify the area OCS of such intent at least 3 days (but not more than 14 days) before the proposed date of the event.
