SLEEPING on the LEFT SIDE during Pregnancy

• Sleeping on the left is considered ideal during pregnancy.
• One can sleep on the back until 16-18 weeks.
• It is recommended to sleep on your LEFT during the THIRD trimester (from 28 weeks).
• Sleeping on the back during third trimester can lead to late miscarriages *(still under study).

ADVANTAGES of sleeping on the LEFT

1. It ensures optimum blood flow in the PLACENTA and major blood vessels.
2. It takes off pressure from your liver and kidneys.

HOW TO ENSURE YOU SLEEP ON YOUR LEFT
