LET'S TALK BUSINESS

When starting any particular business it's always advisable to first do a survey of the area(s) you want to put up your business.
Study the people's behaviour and their spending pattern visa vis your budget. What is their financial ability? What can they afford to buy?

For instance, in areas where they residents are low income earners, they mostly will not care about quality... What matters to them is quantity and price.... Here, every cent counts and competition is mostly about the price. You can top up by giving after-sale services such as slicing the bought sukumawiki for them etc. I won't advocate too much credit facilities as this has brought down so many startups.

For the well-to-do customers, quality, customer care etiquettes and delivery services are key in business.

Another factor to consider in business is what your target clientele need but don't have or don't get enough. Look at the competition around and avoid getting yourself into a crowded business. If you have to, take advantage of the mistakes others are doing and offer a better option.

Do a survey of where to source your stock (if any) at very good prices so as to give yourself a cutting edge. etc

WISDOM FOR PARENTING

1- Avoid Giving your child everything he asks for. He will grow up believing that he has the right to get everything he wants.

2-Avoid laughing when your child speaks insúlting words. He will grow up thinking that dísréspect is entertainment.

3-Avoid remaining insénsitive to bâd behavior that he can display without scølding him for his bâd behavior. He will grow up thinking that there are no rules in society.

4- Avoid picking up anything that your child mésses up. He will grow up believing that others must take responsibility for his méss.

5- Avoid letting him watch any program on TV. He will grow up thinking that there is no difference between being a child and being an adult.

6- Avoid giving your child all the money he asks for. He will grow up thinking that getting money is easy and will not hesitate to stëal for it.

7- Always avoid putting yourself on his side when he is wrøng against the neighbors, his teachers, the police. He will grow up thinking that everything he does is right, it is the others who are wrøn and he can always get away with everything.

8- Avoid leaving him alone at home when you go to the place of worship, otherwise he will grow up thinking that God does not exíst.

May our labour over our children not be in vain

TIPS ON HOW TO SURVIVE IN NAIROBI.
Having lived in this city for so long there are things we have learnt the hard way.

1.Don't go to downtown if you don't have to.
2. Ukitembea tao uskie mtu amesema "oya oya" don't turn, just move on the side.
3.When boarding a matatu, check the condition of your window..that's where your phone might exit from.
4.No one should pray for you on the streets regardless of your situation in life.
5. Chapati will always be 10 bob, Smokie 25bob, mayai 20bob.
6.Afya Center..don't even stop to swallow your saliva, pita ukikimbia. Walk mercilessly!And if you have hips, use them to pave way for yourself!
Elbows pia ni weapons... Unapita ukienda bila kuangalia nyuma. If someone hits you as you walk along the streets, hit them back because no one apologizes for such mistakes in this city!!
7.If you feel lost just go to Archives, you will pick your bearing from there.
8.Incase someone drops anything in front of you, don't pick it , run like your life depends on it. Hata ukiitwa "siste" "siste", achana nayo.
9.Instead of going to kanjo washrooms, just get into Ushirika house, tell the guards you are going to office No. 24, it is actually a washroom labeled by mistake or If you are well dressed ingia Hilton, Stanley etc..confidence is key here. Jifanye hiyo ni sitting room yako. If you are driving go to Serena hotel. Kuna ata free parking . Cheza k**a wewe.
10. When it is raining usinyeshewe nje k**a mmea. Get into a supermarket and watch news from an 84 inch screen. After that prentend you're looking for certain commodities until the rain stops.
11. Incase uone any job openings ziko na phrase ya "send Whatsapp number with the word Nairobi to a certain
number,"jua tu ni wale watu wa global...
Any job utaitishwa doh alafu uambiwe itakuwa refunded, hio ni wash wash..
12 .Ukiskia risasi anywhere close to you,don't run..duck into the nearest shop...if you run,watu wa kwenyu wataambiwa uliuliwa na stray bullet...

You will always be seen a certain way by different people depending on how you present yourself and how they interpret it so don't spend a lot of energy wondering what people think or say about you. Be focused on your life and goals because the moment you try pleasing people or making people like you is the moment you lose it all.

WHAT TO DO AS A TENANT IF YOUR LANDLORD SELL THE HOUSE YOU ARE CURRENTLY LIVING IN.

First, you need to know that It is the right of the Landlord to sell his property whenever he chooses to do so.
It does not matter whether or not there are tenants in the property and It does not matter that they just renewed their tenancy or they are long-term tenants in the property.

He also does not need the permission of the tenants to sell his property.

While the landlord can sell at anytime, the New Buyer or the New Landlord cannot take possession at anytime just like that.
There are laws that govern the process for taking possession of a new property that have tenants staying there.

The sale of the property does not confer on the New landlord or the new owner the right to forcibly eject any tenant from the property.

The Rent you paid to the former Landlord still runs and can't be terminated by the New Landlord for any reason.

At the expiration of your rent, You are entitled to 6 months Notice to Quit.

The New owner does not have the right to start breaking down the building or part of it, in order to inconvenient the tenants.

The New owner does not have right to intimidate you or abuse you verbally for any reason.

The new owner does not have the right to Physically assault you or bring some thugs to threaten you to pack out.

If the New owner or Landlord, Goes against any of this law stated above.

Feel free as a Tenant to Arrest the New Landlord and charge him to Court immediately

Let him come and tell the court who gave him the power to go against the law because he just buy new house.

No one is wondering about the "standards" you are setting. So before you do anything to please people, remember that we don't care. Focus on yourself. Some people have imaginary haters, you make bad financial decisions, fail to save and invest, don't advance your studies and career, then get in financial trouble then say your relatives bewitched you. Nope. You bewitched yourself.
