Bishoftu, Oromia Ethiopia

Bishoftu is a town in central Ethiopia. Located in the East Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region.

Surrounded by volcanic crater lakes, Bishoftu is a lively town on the western edge of the Rift Valley. With seven lakes in close proximity to the town, it certainly lives up to the meaning of its name: "place of water/lakes/springs".

580 million Birr financial support is donated to strengthen the Southern Ethiopia region.

Thus, Oromia Regional Government 100 million, Addis Ababa City Administration 60 million, Central Ethiopia Regional Government 30 million, Somali Regional Government 20 million, Amara Regional Government 20 million, Sidama Regional Government 20 million, Southwest Ethiopia Regional Government 15 million, Afar Regional Government 10 million Birr, Benshangul Gumuz Regional Government 10 million Birr, Gambella Regional Government 5 million Birr, Dredawa City Administration 10 million Birr and investor Frew Tufa contributed 50 million Birr.

The guest of honor of the day, Mr. Adam Ferah, who attended the official launch and inauguration program of the Southern Ethiopian People's Regional Government, expressed his happiness on behalf of himself and the party to be present at the national program based on the peaceful, democratic and free will of the people.
