Today, I'm thrilled to celebrate the incredible dedication of our Zidallie Student Safaris' Drivers. They not only embody the essence of professionalism but also touch our hearts with their unwavering commitment and respect for time, teaching me valuable lessons every day.

On Thursday 7th March at 3:00 pm, we got a short notice trip , to take 50 students to Naivasha. The trip was set to begin at 6:00 am the following day. Despite the tight timeline, our drivers and buses were fully prepared by 5:00 pm that very Thursday.

To ensure things ran smoothly, I decided to join them. Instructing them to meet at Yaya Centre in Nairobi at 5:00 am, given the school's location in Kilimani. I was amazed , at 3:45 am, when the drivers called to let me know they were already at Yaya Centre. This punctuality and readiness truly inspired me.

Our drivers and partners are the backbone of our mission to empower students through safe and reliable transportation. Their dedication fills us with pride and honor, as we work alongside some of the most exceptional individuals.

In Africa, we really do downplay colorism.

We are master gas lighters. One of the things I am most attacked with is "YOU'RE JEALOUS OF LIGHT SKINNED GIRLS, YOU NEED TO HEAL".

What we don't realize is, colorism affects a dark skins entire life.

The following are some ways ;

1. DID YOU KNOW that it's easier for a lighter skinned content creator to blow up on social media than a dark skinned one?

2. DID YOU KNOW that social media algorithms are set to push more for content of people with specific skin tones & features(white/ light, eurocentric features). HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF WHY YOUR CAMERA LIGHTENS YOU? HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF WHY 90% OF FILTERS LIGHTEN YOU? (It's coz light skin sells)

4.DID YOU KNOW that lighter skinned sexual workers make more? HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF WHY MOST SEXUAL WORKERS BLEACH?

5. DO THE ALCOHOL BRANDS you love so much, have dark skinned girls on their IG page? WHAT SKIN TONE IS MOSTLY PROMOTED? IS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT THEY ONLY HAVE LIGHT SKINNED PEOPLE THERE?

6. DID YOU KNOW, that you may be benefitting from colorism in your country, but when you go to a place people are extremely lighter than you, you'll face the same discrimination.

The thing with colorism is that, lighter skinned people benefit at the expense of darker skinned ones. Is it their fault? No, it's the systems fault. ( But it gets bad when we are trying to make things equal & some are fighting us who are doing the Lord's work)
