Follow the 70/20/10 rule.

• 70% of the time, focus on providing value to your audience. Share industry tips and tricks. Get creative. Be resourceful.

• 20% of the time, post user-generated content that others share about your brand or any other topic.

• Only 10% of the time should your posts be promotional in nature. This is when you can take the opportunity to talk about an upcoming sale.

How do you keep repurposing your content?

👉 Taking an existing blog article and applying it to a different buyer persona in light of recent news (new target audience).

👉 Taking a piece of content and turning the facts and stats into an infographic (new format).

👉 Taking a Facebook post and recreating it specifically for Snapchat (new format).

👉 Taking an old piece of content and drawing out soundbites that are still relevant to share on social media (new format)

👉 Taking an e-book aimed at SMBs and restructuring/rewording it to apply to start-ups (new target audience).

People want to associate with people they trust.

The fear of being scammed is so high on the internet that people are so paranoid when it comes to making an online purchase decision.

Before you sell:

👉 Educate them on your product or service.

👉 Entertain them by showing you understand where they are coming from.

👉 Engage them by starting a conversation giving them an opportunity to share their experience.

👉 Inspire them by giving them a purpose to take action.

By doing this, you gain authority and trust.

When it comes time to make the sale.

The potential customers will have no doubts about buying from you.
