The Issue of salaries of the public servants in South Sudan is concerning. How our heroes (who got those injuries for us to have South Sudan) were treated was shoddy. Lack of salaries across the country has led to poor delivery of government services to the people of South Sudan. How will the government improve the education system if teachers are not encouraged? How will the government stop insecurity if the armed forces are not well-paid? In a nutshell, the government needs to form an Independent Salaries Remuneration Commission. The primary function of this independent body will be to regularly review the remuneration and benefits of all public officers. This body will operate independently from the Ministry of Finance. However, the ministry may play a role in providing financial information as the commission's decisions on remuneration and benefits have budgetary implications for the government. The Ministry of Finance can also engage the commission on matters related to fiscal policy and financial management. That means the ministry can not interfere in the affairs of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. The mandate of the commission will be to ensure fairness, equity, and transparency in the remuneration processes. Public entities will be expected to comply with the salary structures and guidelines set by the Commission. Failure to adhere may result in legal actions, this means that it has to be protected by the constitution of South Sudan and the president who should be the main protector of the constitution.

Let's not talk much and celebrate the fact that we are a country🎉🎊Happy independence day to the real Africans.
As we celebrate this day, let us reflect on the journey we traveled since 18th August 1955. Above all let's know that South Sudan belongs to all of us🙏

A thorough diagnosis of community base leadership in South Sudan, especially Jonglei state ( Bor County, Twic East County, and Duk County) reveals the level of partiality that exist in South Sudan.
These associations are now the new battlegrounds for our well-informed members (graduates and postgraduates) who are supposed to be handling national issues either under national ministries or at the state level. If I may ask, What are the objectives of these associations? Are they positive or negative? Are they portraying a good delineation of Greater Bor to the rest of the South Sudanese? Personally, I think these associations have succeeded in segregating us only and if we don’t address this issue imminently, then the current Payam will be sub-tribes momentarily.
Divide and Rule policy will only diminish Greater Pan Bor and promote those individuals practicing it. Why are we so blind to notice such a visible poorly planned game? To our politicians who think they will rule through divide and rule policy, you will only rule at Bor, Twic, and Duk levels only, because a quarter will never be equal to a whole number. Open your eyes and bring your people together if you want to be heard nationally.
My advice to our graduates and postgraduates is to take responsibility and work explicitly and implicitly with the government to bring reforms that will result in stable economic, Political stability, infrastructural development, good governance, a good education system, Universal healthcare, and a good road map that will visualize the South Sudan we want. In a nutshell, go for a big cake and that will help develop our country.
It good to embrace our communities but let’s also put in place techniques that will solve the negative impacts that will emerge because of the same action. Just for clarification, I am not saying its not good to lead at a community level but let put more zeal where necessary.

I don’t know whether it’s true or not but it’s very unethical to dictate who will lead pan Bor base on modern education qualifications. I have been watching your events and we always use Dinka Language as a mean of communication. Leaders are not determine by how educated they are. So give our youths back at home the chance to lead.

What I enjoy most about SPLM/SPLA documentaries is how resolute our liberators were. Fighting a well-equipped army was not easy and they did it. There is a lot to learn from them.
