Too much of new DJs has no bad influence really.
But all of us sounding, doing same strategies and going(chasing) for one target is what makes this skill/gift invaluable and nolonger entertaining anymore.

Lately 3 or 4 DJs might play right after then but it sounds like one DJ have been playing(on decks). We all wanna hear from each other what's the new isht and we also wanna play it too.

You release a mixtape all they concerned of is a tracklist. Download 7 or 8 different mixtapes all of them have 3 or 4 same tracks that are being used.

If no one thumps up that label or producer we also see or don't wanna hear any good from it, we want to be given a lead of what's dope & what's not... that is resulting in all of us playing one sound and sounding the same.

It has never been sin to be different... instead that's what sells and distinguishes you from the rest and the average.

NOTICE!!!

For the last 3 year Utawala studio and it's management have been in active support of all upcoming artists but are unable to attain our level of standards and requirements. This program was started as a favor to lift our local upcoming artists to chase the bag and come to the limelight with no aim of anything in return.

We also managed to sign a number of artists who only had a task of creativity to compose good music and eventually be recorded in our studios. This activity bared healthy fruits and it's our happiness that some artists who took it serious are now paying their bills out of it.

This program is officially closed, no artist is now signed under our management. We call apon our clients to first reach our standards agreed for you to receive and enjoy our quality services. All in all we welcome ALL artist to our premises, your projects are safe in our hands.

TOP 12 CHARACTERISTICS THAT MAKES SINGERS GREAT

1. Enunciation: Learn to pronounce your words well.
2. Inspiration: If the song did not bless you it can't bless others.
3. Posture: Make sure you are relaxed, don't bend stand straight, don't lock your knees, relax your shoulders.
4. Breathing: Make sure you work on your breathing cause bad breathing means bad singing.
5. Learn not to speak too much.
6. Rest is very important if you must sing well, if you don't rest it will affect your singing massively.
7. Vocal Techniques Like Riffs and runs, vocal Fry, vibrato, forsetto, head voice, etc are very important, it adds beauty to your singing.
8. Learn to sing high notes, don't get comfortable in that your pitch, there is more you can do with your voice.
9. Emotions: This is very important cause music penetrates the spirit, body, and soul so you need to emote well when singing. For music ministers allow the Holy spirit work on your emotions before you will emote wrong emotions to your audience. "No be every cry be Holy spirit" some is the lead singer passing his emotions to the audience. So please ministers allow the Holy spirit to use you.
10. Vocal warmups: Warm up your vocals everyday nothing less than 30 minutes.
11. Diaphragm: Learn how sing from the diaphragm it will help you avoid less vocal cracks and pain in the throat. It will help you sing with strength also.
12. Learn how to sing all the parts, Soprano, alto and tenor. Don't stay in your comfort zone, professional singers should know how to sing all the parts.

⚠️ Respect matters please ⚠️
Kuna kitu niliona Jana....
And to those DJs who think they made it in life, just because they now know how to use CDJs. And they start talking trash to Virtual DJ users. Saying that Virtual DJs use sync to do beatmatching. Okay here's the thing you should know if you don't know.

β€’Both CDJs and Virtual DJs has a "Sync" button.

β€’The Arrows you see in "Laptop Keyboard" are the "Jogwheel" of the Laptop. And they do exact work as "CDJs Jogwheel" So using "Sync" on "CDJs or Virtual DJs" is someone's choice.

β€’Lastly but not least, playing with CDJs doesn't make you a Professional DJ. Doing a great work when you are DJying is what makes you a Pro.

Let's talk about this issue of DJs.

Musa Juma was not a rumba artist.Musa Juma was a benga artist...
What Musa Juma did is musically referred to as 'Congolisation' of benga music;something that was started by the likes of Oluoch Kanindo,Collela Maze, Ochieng' Kabaselleh (to an extent of adopting the name of Joseph Grand Kalle Kabaselleh),George Ramogi and Okatch Biggy-but something Musa Juma perfected so well.In the late 70's and 80's,benga music was considered more traditional and rural;and could only be played in vernacular radio stations;while the Congolese rumba was played in mainstream radio stations and was more appealing to the urban middle-class.In order to stay musically relevant and win more audiences, various benga artists started flirting with rumba elements and adopted a few Congolese rumba characteristics. This ranged from adopting the then modern acoustic guitars (thus dropping the initial benga sound);having & working with Congolese musicians and instrumentalists (this was made easy by the fact that there was political turmoil in Congo,so many artists had left the Country for the neighboring Countries like Kenya, for example, the likes of Jean Bosco Mwenda); adopting extra guitarists (like the Mi-solo guitar); slowing the tempo of benga to give it the smooth rumba tempo (this was made possible by the additional instrumentalists like the Mi-solo guitarists and saxophonists); the plucking, massaging and trumming of the guitar as opposed to the initial picking and thumping of the guitar;naming of musical groups from 'Boys bands' to 'Jazz Bands' or 'Orchestres' etc. It is only D.O Misiani who never experimented benga with any other genre. But he is still considered the King (not the founder) of benga. But he was so good at it that his song 'Kiseru pek chalo kidi' was adapted by the Soukouss Stars group for the 1994 album 'Nairobi night'-confirming the musical relationship between benga & soukouss and the great influence benga had on the current sound of soukouss.

Brayo leo nakuambie nilitembelea beshte wangu flani, akanipikia Chapo.... πŸͺπŸͺSijui K**a nilikula Chapo ama biscuits,,,, but to cut the long story short.... Allow me give some hints on how to make your Chapo soft, smooth and delicious...

*TIPS FOR SOFT π’„π’‰π’‚π’‘π’‚π’•π’Šβ€οΈ
1. Use hot water infact, let it be boiling water. Your chapos Will stay soft even after days compared to cold or warm water chapos.
2. DO NOT knead a hard dough. It should be soft and a little just little sticky but add some oil to coat the stickiness
3. Let your dough rest for about 20 to 60 minutes before you proceed to divide into balls
4. While putting it to rest, cover with a dump (wet) clean towel to prevent it from forming a hard cover
5. While rolling you dough, DO NOT let it be thin, especially at the centre because it's going to be hard during cooking
6. Use hot enough heat (slightly above medium). Using low heat will yield hard chapos and high heat yields burnt yet uncooked chapos (hazitaiva ndani)
7. Use a good pan preferably a non stick or those very thick pans. A light pan will harden them
8. After you are done cooking, cover them completely. The bottom, all round and top. You can use surviettes ama paper ya unga..as long as it's clean.

Enjoy!
