Tupac Shakur’s very own 1996 American Motors Hummer H1 is up for sale again. It was the last vehicle purchased by the late rapper before his death in 1996, and he bought it just under a month before his death. The lot is estimated at over $100,000 and is expected to fetch quite a bit more, given it sold last year during an RR Auction for $337,144.

26 years ago today in 1998, Interscope Records and The 2Pac estate released the posthumous single "Do For Love". It was accompanied by a animated music video. 🎬
"Do For Love" is a song by 2Pac, released in 1997 on the album "R U Still Down? (Remember Me)". The song features a smooth, melodic beat and showcases 2Pac's storytelling ability as he raps about a past love that he still yearns for, despite the pain and heartache it brought him. The song is a departure from 2Pac's more aggressive and politically charged tracks, showcasing his vulnerability and emotional depth.
The original song was recorded in 1993-1994 for the original drafts of the "R U Still Down" album. It also appeared on late drafts of "Me Against The World". The original song featured the singer G-Money which also appears on the track "Young N*ggaz".
The song was reproduced in 1997 by producers Soulshock and Karlin. Eric Williams of Blackstreet was brought in to replace G-Money. The producers kept the chorus and the vibe of the song for their remix in the same style as the original track.
"Do For Love" was a commercial success and peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also reached number 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 1 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. The song has been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States alone.
Additionally, "Do For Love" has been praised by critics for its soulful production and 2Pac's heartfelt lyrics, making it a fan favorite and a standout track in his discography. It is also noted that the song helped push the "R U Still Down" album to over 4 Million copies sold. This number most likely is double now as the album hasn't been recertified in 27 years.

The song was a favorite of 2Pac's. He constantly remade this track and put it on various handwritten tracklist. The song was scrapped last minute from "Me Against The World". However, this may have occurred because Interscope and 2Pac were planning a follow up album to "Me Against The World" with the "R U Still Down" album that would have been released in January 1996. This would have been issued if 2Pac remained incarcerated. "Do For Love" most likely would have been utilized as a lead single in original form in 1996 had 2Pac not signed to Death Row Records.
The track also appeared on several early drafts "All Eyez On Me" when the album was titled "Euphanasia". In this scenario, 2Pac would have made a new version of the track in 1995 for a 1996 release. However, for whatever reason he never did.
The original title of the song was "Sucka 4 Love". It is unknown why the 2Pac estate renamed the track to "Do For Love".
In 1991, 2Pac made a entirely different concept of the song called "What U Won't Do For Love". This version has totally different verses and a different beat. It only shares several lines from verse 3 of the later version. This version of the song remains unreleased and is still usable for a future album.
There are also reports of a different 1994 recording of the track "Do For Love", however it hasn't leaked.

Peetah Morgan (Born July 11th 1977) Famous for comprising one-fifth of the reggae ensemble Morgan Heritage as a lead singer. He won his first ever Grammy Award for best reggae album alongside his siblings for their 2015 album Strictly Roots.
He first formed Morgan Heritage in 1994 alongside his four siblings. He would make his first public appearance with the group at the Reggae Sunsplash festival in Jamaica.
In 2005, he released his seventh studio album as a member of Morgan Heritage called Full Circle, which peaked at #15 on the Billboard Reggae chart. His group's 2015 Strictly Roots album peaked at #1 on the Top Reggae Charts.
His siblings' names are Una, Roy, Nakhamyah, and Memmalatel. His father is renown reggae artist Denroy Morgan.
He has collaborated with Damian Marley as a member of Morgan Heritage.

American rapper “Spice 1” says Jay-Z will never be on Tupac's level.
Spice 1 made this statement after Billboard ranked Jay-Z as the “greatest rapper of all time” in an interview with “The Art Of Dialogue”.
