*DON’T FAIL TO ASK*

📜TEXT: Joshua 17:1-7📜

📖🗝️KEY VERSE:
“And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.” - (Joshua 17:4)

A preacher has been quoted as saying that many believers will be greatly surprised when they eventually get to heaven and see the beautifully wrapped blessings on which their names were written but which, unfortunately, they could not possess before leaving this world because of their failure to pray.

The text centres on the division of the allotment of the land among the children of Manasseh, the first born of Joseph. The five daughters of Zelophehad, one of the great-great grandsons of Manasseh came together to meet Eleazer the priest, Joshua the son of Nun and the princes to demand their right by reminding them of the instruction God had given to Moses concerning the sharing of inheritance in the land (Numbers 27:6-11). Before that time, females were not given inheritance in Israel. It was therefore a great landmark in Israel that their request was graciously granted. They might have lost the great privilege if they had failed to ask.

Those who belong to the family of Christ in this present world through repentance and faith in the blood of Christ will partake of the heavenly inheritance reserved for the saints. Those who neglect to pray for their salvation now stand the risk of forfeiting their inheritance and spending eternity in hell forever.

The action of the daughters of Zelophehad underscores the importance of the prayer of faith by saints. The Bible says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye

TOPIC: DON'T BELIEVE IT!

📜TEXT: PSALM 119:121-128📜

📖🗝️KEY VERSE: "I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors" (PSALM 119:121).

Most people erroneously believe that we have a Creator who has made up His mind to judge us only on account of our shortcomings; hardly looking at where we have tried to please Him according to the grace He gives us. There is no record of this stance of the Lord in the Bible. What we have is the opposite: a faithful God who consistently leaves ample room for godly repentance and for us to present our case before Him for mercy and pardon.

We find this validated in the petition of the psalmist. Surrounded by "proud oppressors" who were no doubt out to destroy him, he runs to the Lord for help. He is familiar with the ways of his God, for he describes himself as His "servant", unlike others who are alien to Him. Indeed, he reminds the Lord that others have "made void" His law. But he exalts the Lord and "...love [His] commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold..."

With this, the writer has met the condition for a walk with the Lord and for him to present his case before Him. Has not our Father Himself said, "produce your cause...bring forth your strong reasons"? When King Jehoshaphat and Judah were faced with a battle they knew they could not win on their own, they produced reasons why heaven should intervene. God accepted their plea and secured them a miraculous victory.

God will always rescue His faithful children from the hands of oppressors. The Lord receives such persons with open arms. He does not only deliver them from those hunting them for a kill; He also turns them into mighty personalities He uses to convert their enemies into Kingdom children.

You know despite what is happening around us, how most of us had thought of today being a "freedom day"and all that the Lord has been good to us still you know how ,right? You being healthy with your loved ones is a reason enough to thank God.
It's my prayer that here, in this very group that someone will look back to this period and thank God that it happened this way. The lock down, the corona and the curfew thing.i know it sounds absurd when I talk like this but it's my prayer that you will encounter God in a new way during this period. That's you my test His goodness in this land of the living.
This too shall pass.
It shall be well.
We got Jesus.
He is working it out for our good.

*SEVEN DANGEROUS PEOPLE IN AN ORGANISATION YOU NEED TO KNOW AND HANDLE THEM WITH WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE*:

As a Leader, beware that at one stage or the other in your church, business or association, you will find yourself dealing with the following groups of people. If you don't have wisdom to deal with them, your position and efforts are in danger.

1. *THOMAS GROUP* -They walk with you but they don't really believe in you. Though God can use you in front of them, they are not easily moved they take time to believe in you. These people can delay your vision and they are also not aware they are also delaying themselves. It's a struggle and a burden to lead people who don't believe in you.

2. *JUDAS GROUP*- They walk with you but they have issues with you when God begins to bless you. They are not happy when things of great value are given to you. In short they are jealous of your success. When elevation comes they will say we are poor in the work place but the Boss is driving a BMW 5 series but we have people that are struggling financially in this workplace. They want you to drive a probox which will make them happy. They have serious issues if your life becomes better and better. They talk as if you don't care about the poor. Hear these Leaders, anyone who is jealous about your prosperity in your workplace tomorrow he will betray you.

3. *ABSALOM GROUP*- You give them opportunity to teach or lead and he begins to see himself as the Leader of the place, he believes he can teach and lead better than you. When he leads, he leads to prove a point that he is better than you, he won't even mention you in his conversation. He works behind you to steal the hearts of people so that people will follow him. He will make people to feel they are neglected in your position. He will tell people he is there for them to help them anytime they need help. This one he is in competition with you , he believes he can be a better Leader than you . Tomorrow trust me he w

FAITHFULNESS REWARDED

TEXT:RUTH 4:13-22

KEY VERSE: "And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David" (RUTH 4:21, 22).

When faithfulness is most difficult, it is most necessary, goes an old saying. Naomi sought greener pastures in the land of Moab. She had gone there to sojourn with her husband and two sons because of the famine in Judah. She lost her husband and sons in the foreign land. One of her daughters-in-law, Orpah, would rather go back to her native people than stay to wait on old Naomi the rest of her life.

Ruth, the other daughter-in-law, though widowed and childless, had more concern for the loneliness and misery of her mother-in-law than for herself. Dreary as the future appeared, she decided to remain with Naomi to provide her a companionship she needed. She abandoned all and followed her to Bethlehem-Judah. This she did, not knowing the more honourable purpose God would accomplish in her life.

Ruth's faithfulness paid off when she got married to Boaz, a relation of her late husband, together with whom she provided a pious and enviable ancestral lineage for King David and Christ. What a great reward and honour!

Following the Lord wholly in this sinful world may appear difficult and cheerless. Leaving our homes and comfort zones to preach the gospel in other lands may not be inviting, but if we faithfully walk with the Lord, we shall joyfully discover that we have not laboured in vain. "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (Hebrews 6:10).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:A good action of faith is often followed by a good reward.

Here is your word for today:

Verse: Isaiah 42:16

‘I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.’

- The Lord is amazing in the way He can turn things around for us.
- We may see darkness and hard or rough places and realities.
- But He sees light ahead for us, and He sees good things in store for us.
- In fact, He goes ahead of us, to make this light and opportunity a reality.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that, right now, You are busy turning my situation around. You are bringing light into my darkness, and You are preparing a smooth path ahead for me. Amen.

Have an awesome Thursday.

TOPIC: THE WORTHY WALK

TEXT: Ephesians 4:1-10

KEY VERSE:
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.” - (Ephesians 4:1)

Well did Dr. Worthington observe when he wrote: “The Gospel doth not only represent the doctrine of Christ to be believed; but also the life of Christ to be followed: nor shall any have him for their advocate and propitiation, but such as are willing to have him for their pattern and example; to copy out and imitate his humility, patience, purity, benignity, and self-resignation. None shall be benefited by his death, that are unwilling to live his life.”

Living the life of Christ is what Apostle Paul meant when he exhorted the Ephesian Christians to “walk worthy of the vocation wherewith [they were] called.” He did not leave his prescription hanging on vagueness, but proceeded to apply it to specific Christian duties. They were expected to demonstrate the grace of God in them through meekness, forbearance and kindness even among themselves. In particular, they were to endeavour to “keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”, seeing they had one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and God.

Believers are reminded of the triumph of Christ over Satan, sin, sickness and death, which hitherto enslaved mankind. This was accomplished through His resurrection, ascension and glorification. As a token of that victory, Christ has given differing gifts and grace to men. These gifts rather than being a source of rivalry among His people, are supposed to be a uniting force as they are meant to complement one another.

As Christians, we must not forget that we are called to the highest and most glorious vocation. We can only express our appreciation of that privilege by walking worthy of it through practical demonstration of piety. A sound disposition anchored on true love and unity of spirit among us is a reflection of th

Why compare yourself with another? Each one is different, each one is special and each one is beautiful! Don't compare your life to others, you have no idea what their journey in life is all about. Don't get discouraged by the success and achievement of others; that someone else is succeeding doesn't mean you are failing. Refuse to let comparison steal your joy. Sometimes, our minds talk more than our mouths. Run your own race and focus on the gifts and talents God gave you and refuse to be envious of the blessings He gave to others. You have a uniqueness none in this world has ever had and would ever have. Crystallize, celebrate your uniqueness and leave footprints behind. Life isn't about being better than someone else, it is being better than you used to be. The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday.
