NEXT WEEK, TK Extreme Adventures will be in Lodwar with a continental team of guests from across Kenya and beyond to explore Turkana’s top attractions, including Turkana Eliye Springs, Central Island National Park, the Lodwar Shrine and Jesus’ Statue, the Turkana Boy site, and Kalokol Fishing Village, among others.

This visit comes shortly after the celebration of World Tourism Day, which emphasized “Tourism and Peace for All” a theme that strongly aligns with Turkana’s growing reputation as a peaceful, adventure-rich destination. Yesterday during dinner Hon Jalango hosted three out of four teams ( GOR MAHIA, AFC LEOPARD and SHABANA FC) that are expected to play at ODM @20 in Mombasa.

The dinner was attended by some of the notable names, ODM chairperson governor Gladys Nyasuna Wanga, Kisumu west Mp Hon Rosa Abuyu, Nairobi women rep Hon Esther Passaris, Nairobi county incoming ODM treasurer who is is also Nairobi west MCA Hon Rex Omole, FKF officials among other leaders.

The said teams will be playing as from Thursday to Saturday this week where the winner is expected to win a cash prize of 1000,000/=.

UPDATES: The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has released a series of tender notices for the rehabilitation and improvement of key road networks across Turkana County. The projects cover several regions including Turkana West, Turkana North, and Loima.

TENDER NOTICES:

- KERRA/08/39/163/2025-2026 for Lopiding Centre–Lorus–Kapetadie–Napak–Nadapal;

- KERRA/08/39/179/2025-2026 for Chemolingot–Kapedo–Lokori;

- KERRA/08/39/400/2025-2026 for Elelea–Parakti–Drift;

- KERRA/08/39/177/2025-2026 for Parakti [N] (Turkana/Samburu);

- KERRA/08/39/312/2025-2026 for Kalemgorok–Nabeye;

- KERRA/08/39/054/2025-2026 for Kakuma–Lokangae–Nasinyono gravelling and drainage works.

Eligible contractors can now access the tender documents through the official KeRRA website.
