150 Years From Now

150 years from now, none of us reading this post today will be alive. 70 percent to 100 percent of everything we are fighting over right now will be totally forgotten. Underline the word, TOTALLY.

If we go back memory lane to 150 years before us, that will be 1872, none of those that carried the world on their heads then are alive today. Almost all of us reading this will find it difficult to picture anybody's face of that era.

Pause for a while and imagine how some of them betrayed their relatives and sold them as slaves for a piece of mirror. Some killed family members just for a piece of land or tubers of yam or cowries or for a pinch of salt. Where is the yam, cowries, mirror, or salt that they were using to brag? It may sound funny to us now, but that is how silly we humans are sometimes, especially when it comes to power or trying to be relevant.

I remember those days in my secondary school, how some people fought and did so many unimaginable things just to have their names shortlisted among those to be made school Prefects. Ordinary school Prefects o! It is just about 18 years since I left secondary school, nobody in that school right now remembers that I even schooled there despite my popularity then. Now, imagine what happens after 150 years?

Even when you claim the internet age will preserve your memory, take Michael Jackson as an example. Michael Jackson died in 2009, that was just 13 years ago. Imagine the influence Michael Jackson had all over the world when he was alive. Gosh, he was like a god. How many young people of today remember him with awe, that is if they even know him? In 150 years to come, his name, when mentioned, will not ring any bell to a lot of people. This is even because he was popular, imagine the majority of people who will never be known worldwide like him?

Let us take life easy, nobody will get out of this world alive. . . The land you are fighting and ready to kill for, somebody left that land, the person

If you are invited for a job interview, at the entrance of the gate or within the Organization's premises:

Avoid or do the following:

1. Politely greet everybody. I have seen MDs and Managers disguise and stand at the gate to observe interviewees.

2. Do not go inside and start charging your phone or begin to look for where to charge your phone.

3. Do not go inside and begin to chat with your phone or make unnecessary calls. Put the phone inside your bag. They could be monitoring you through the camera.

4. Avoid too much talk with fellow interviewees. Don't go there and begin to argue about the government of the day, escalated food prices,s and even lack of employment opportunities. Just be calm and positive.

5. Don't start praying and speaking in tongues to demonstrate your religiosity and closeness to God. Pray at home before going.

6. If they offer you Tea or food, Please reject it politely and thank them. You can take it after the interview. If you take that Tea or food, you are out.

7. Don't chew gum, biscuit or anything. Go with a book and read it.

8. Never ever criticize your previous employer.

9. If you see somebody you know in the Organization, either as a staff or a fellow interviewee, greet him officially. Avoid creating an impression that you know him.

10. Do not appear too Poor, helpless, or inferior before the interviewer. Forget about Nigeria's problems, your personal and family problems. Focus on the job.

11. After the interview, put up a smiling face, thank the,m and leave.

In most cases, interviewers assess and score interviewees by the factors above and not necessarily by the answers they provide on paper. They'll train you eventually to do the job if they employ you.

A worker was employed at a frozen fish factory. One day, while doing his job, he accidentally closed the refrigerator door while he was inside. He began shouting for help, but the workday had ended, and no one was left in the factory. Realizing this, he understood he was about to freeze to death.

However, at some point, the factory guard opened the refrigerator door and saved him from a terrible and certain death.

The factory manager asked the guard:
“How did you know the worker was still inside and hadn’t left?”

The guard replied:
“None of the workers ever greets me except for him. He always smiles at me and asks how I’m doing. That day, at closing time, I neither saw nor heard him. I knew— I was sure—he was still in the factory, so I searched for him until I found him.”

A kind word saved that man’s life. Kindness leaves an imprint on minds and hearts, melts even ice, opens iron doors, and can save lives.

That baby is coming. Promotion is coming. Suddenly things are going to change. You can’t explain it. It seemed like it was far away, but God knows how to accelerate things. He can speed up what should take years. One touch of His favor and what you see in the distance will become a reality. If Abraham were here, he would tell you, "Don’t get discouraged by the distance.
