*Political analysis of the county*
One political analyst gave a year opening analysis by looking back to the county of kericho in the past one year. According to pundits the county got great opportunities but missed them. According to their analysis all tend to agree on one thing that the county should have capitalised on the national government.
On such pundit with code name Jamaa wa soap said that despite the year ending with the celebrations in the county, the leadership didn't take the advantage of the head of state visit. The leadership under Dr. Mutai Erick Kipkoech seemed unprepared to articulate short term projects and separate them from the long term. This not only shows the missed opportunities but the constitution of the think tank of the governor regarding development and his legacy. The analyst went on to point at the different projects the county government has made promises which to him are lip service to the electorate. He further said that the current local government administration are quick to promised hence taking things lightly. He further sighted the research that was done at the end of the year which indicated that the county had 0% budgeted on projects. Every sub county has nothing going on in terms of infrastructure and services. "The county government serve only friends of the administration who benefited immensely, the loot are all over , which has caused property skyrocketing and it's effects will be felt in the future when other counties will be much developed" he said.
On the MCA's the pundits pointed that everyone serves their cronies. He indicated that they are compiling list of the beneficiaries of the loot and their locations as well as their connections.

Today out reporter sourt person to know the state of the nation from different resisents in different location within kericho County, they had different views on it. One resident of Kunyak area Kipkelion, Mrs Leah Chepkwony said that they are had pressed by the economy. Another resident of Belgut Kapsoit, Mr Kirui Paul (meja) said he regret electing the current leadership because the economy is bad. In Bureti, Litein a resident Mercy Cherono said she has never felt any reason to be happy about the current leadership adding that the leadership in all positions from the president, governors, members of Parliament and MCA only wanted 1 term only without the knowledge of the voters.
