Hi all, I'm doing a feature about potholes and wanted to pick everyone's brains about where the worst roads and worst potholes are in the kitengela area.

Do you know of a road that is particularly bad?

Any directions would be very helpful - especially if it's a long road and it's a specific stretch that needs attention.

Ogolla joined the Kenya Defence Forces in 1984. He began his career as a 2nd lieutenant in the Kenyan Air Force and received training as a fighter pilot with the US Air Force. In 2018, he became Commander of the Kenya Air Force[2] and later Vice Chief of Defence Forces.[citation needed] He was appointed Chief of Defence Forces by President William Ruto after the retirement of General Robert Kariuki Kibochi in April 2023. At the time, Ogolla's appointment raised controversy after the head of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission accused him of being part of a national security council delegation that tried to influence the result of the 2022 general election against the eventual winner, Ruto, who defended Ogolla citing his qualifications.[1]

Ogolla studied and graduated from the École Militaire de Paris, the National Defence College of Kenya, Egerton University and the University of Nairobi.[1] He was a recipient of several awards, including the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya (EGH) and Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS).[3]

Jesus is an example of what all Christian leaders should aspire to be. It breaks my heart, in the age we are in, to see some leaders try and take advantage of their flock through extortionist methods. There are a number of Christian leaders, across the world, who do not have their congregations' best interests at heart. Instead of caring for their wellbeing, I have witnessed some leaders attempt to finesse money and possessions out of the people who have chosen to follow them. This is a prime example of members of the flock being led by wolves in sheep's clothing. Fortunately, all hope is not lost. God is not blind to what is happening. There will come a time where all works of the enemy will be exposed.

Jesus was so concerned about the wellbeing of the people who had been with him for three days. He thought of them before He thought of His own wellbeing. He did not want to send them away without feeding them because he worried that they would collapse along the way. Please bear in mind that there were over four thousand people that had followed Jesus for three days. To feed them, He would have needed larger amounts of food. But that did not move Him. When the disciples expressed their exasperation at the thought of trying to supply such a large crowd with food, Jesus was not moved.

He simply asked the disciples about the number of loaves of bread they had. There were only seven loaves of bread and a few small fish. Jesus did not throw his hands up in the air and declare that all hope was lost. He simply took the loaves of bread and the fish, gave thanks, broke them and instructed the disciples to share them among the people.

PROCEDURE OF PURCHASING LAND IN KENYA

If you are buying land from an individual or group please follow the following STEPS to avoid being CONNED:

1 . Ask to see the TITLE DEED or Copy of the title deed. Then do a search at the ministry of lands to confirm who the real owners are or if the title has any CAVEAT on it, The search will cost you Sh 520.

2.Do a search with LOCAL AUTHORITIES to check of any unpaid land rates. If any, agree with the seller who will settle the land rates. NB :LAND can't be transferred if they are unpaid land rates.

3.Go to the ministry of lands and buy 2 Maps, one showing the exact measurements of the piece you are buying called (mutation) and the other showing the neighbouring lands, Each costs Sh 350.

4.With your 2 maps and a surveyor (you can do it yourself) visit the land you are buying and verify the details on the MAP. Check out all the beacons.

5.Sit down with your seller and bargain the price. Write down an agreement. The agreement can be done in the presence of a lawyer. According to LSK if the value of the land is below 1 million you pay the lawyer 3K, if it's above 1 million you pay the lawyer 8K for the agreement.

6.Pay some amount as per your agreement, Don't pay everything Hata k**a pesa uko nayo.

7.Book a meeting with lands control board (LCB) They meet once every month. It will cost you Sh 1000.
LCB will issue consent for the land to be sold.

8.pay the remaining balance after getting consent from LCB.

9.Go to ministry of lands offices with your KRA PIN, 2 passport photos and a copy of the TITLE DEED to change ownership.
It will cost you Sh 5000.

10.At this stage you don't need the seller. Now go pay stamp duty, ie according to the VALUE of the land.
4% of sales value in municipalities &
2%of sales value in reserves.

11.Now the land belongs to you, but before celebrating go to the ministry of lands &do a search to confirm if they have updated their RECORDS and it reads you.
