Now that Miraa is getting an answer to the problem that has made Igembe people suffer for years, the somalis at maua through the miraa cartels in Nairobi are now trying their best way possible to divide us. All because they don't want a written agreement that states the minimum amount of money that each Kg of miraa should be sold.
Fellow merians,those cartels have been cornered by our unity through our Leaders and for sure they don't have any escape route.

Its on the public domain that after Thursday's meeting between our legislators led by our 9 Mps ,Water cs,Ps For Defense,Ps for internal security,Ministry of trade ,AFA Director among other leaders , yesterday there was yet another fruitful meeting between the above leaders , the 6 known miraa exporters and representatives from miraa associations . The meeting agreed on various issues among them the miraa price that has been killing both farmers, pluckers and business people for decades.

After yesterday's meeting, the so called miraa cartels were summoned by the ministry of interior to appear on monday so that there can be a written agreement between the miraa community (associations) and the exporters. This will make sure that miraa prices does not fall without the miraa committee's approval.
The committee will also make sure that miraa pluckers are not exploited by the miraa businessmen.

Fellow merians, its time to press on and unite until miraa problems is solved ones and for all.

Lets not allow our enemies in miraa sector who are possing as friends to divide us. And if the enemy succeeds in dividing us,i can comfortably promise you that our enemies mostly the ones in maua will kill us one by one and generations and generations will suffer because of our stupidity.

Last and not the list,there will be NO MIRAA PLUCKING nor EXPORTING UNTILL OUR MIRAA LEADERS SIGN AN MOU WITH EXPORTERS.

Otherwise from where i sit i know that their is alot of light at the of the end of tunnel.

FINANCE BILL 2025 HIGHLIGHTS:

1. Neonatal (newborns) tax
2. Diaspora remittances levy
3. VAT 18%
4. VAT on all products, (milk, bread, ugali) no exemptions and zero ratings
5. PAYE - at 37.7% for high income earners and 25% as lowest rate
6. Mazingira tax (similar to ecolevy) on all goods
7. Fuel levy increases by 10 Kshs per litre to 35 ksh
8. Mobile money levies on all paybills, till numbers at rate of 1% of the amount paid
9. Agriculture tax at rate of 5% of farmers sales of tea, coffee, avocado etc.
10. Land rates payable on all land whether leasehold or freehold Idle land tax - at 10% of the value of the land
11. Internet access levy - 15% of bundles purchases
12. Green levy - Sugar tax - on all chocolates, soft drinks, other drinks
13. Plastic levy - on all products with packaging made of plastic.
