Embu Senator Alexander Munyi addressed the senate seeking an explanation from the committee on roads and transport on the unfortunate collapse of Karerema bridge that connects Evurore and Muminji wards in Mbeere North.

Mundigi sought to know whether the government has availed resources for reconstruction of the bridge,a report on whether relevant government agencies have done an inspection on other bridges in the county among other issues.

He noted that the collapse of Karerema bridge has caused transport misharp affecting school going children, businesses as well as access to health services from the nearby Ishiara level 3 hospital that serves members of Muminji and Evurore wards.
