EXTRALEGAL WILD KERIO VALLEY

The long arm of the law seems to be nolonger long. The promise of the long peace in Kerio valley seem unattainable for now .

The valley is a jungle ,an extralegal space ,where people can kill,plunder property and go back to there normal life ...repeat again and again.

We need the long arm of the law back, to restore the valley as a friendly living space.

WHEN EXTREME IS REALLY EXTREME

How can this amazing story be hidden ? Ambrose Kiptui the awe and wonder diver at Cheploch Gorge, Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo border show cases ,beating the odds is stunt to travellers across the valley.

Taking a stop at the the Gorge is worth a more than just a stop over .

This is a hyper adrenaline moment,for the travellers and tourist to see this guy make the big jump.

It is the best unwinding of the mind before resuming the drive to Kabarnet town .

The uphill Kabarnet road is dangerous with bends and sharp turn.It needs a refreshed mind resuming the drive .

The diver ,Ambrose Kiptui and company, offer more that an awe moment of dive.He refreshes the driver in the middle of the long stetch between Iten and Kabarnet.

The brave diver , lost one leg to amputation through road a accident some times back 2019. Every dive of is life is a statement nothing can hold him back

This is the story of a Cheploch gorge .He reminds us our little told stories of bravery.

Back in the day to cross the gorge when there was no bridge ,oral epic tell us that the residents used to hold on tails of cattle as they jump across the thinner section of the gorge.

NO EXCUSES! KENYA NEEDS WORLD CLASS OIL REFINERY

to sustainable cost of fuel

Long gone are the glory days of the one and only changamwe oil refinery . The Mombasa based plant is no where in supplying processed fuels.

According to online data ,today the facility is said to have been reduced to a storage facility.This is master class on complacency in critical sector.No wonder there is a runaway cost of fuel.

Reaching our own known oil reserves or importing crude oil cheaply; refining it spreading the cost into a universe of petroleum byproducts will help curb the cost of fuel.

To manage the exuberant cost of fuel ,Kenya needs a world class refinery to hold the lever on fuel prices and create jobs.

We may understand the circumstance of the closure of Changamwe oil refinery but not building a new one .

WE SOLDIER ON

2022 elections are over. Governance evolves ,we have new innovations that will be experimented on.

Counties might be allowed to borrow in their names and the citizens will guarantee it. The conversation now should be on policy framework not who lost who won the elections .

Will this borrowing be deposited in consolidated fund or will be target/specific project based ,with each project having its special fund for accountability?

Will CDF be gone for good or reinstated?

Election days are over ,its time to focus on issues . This time around manifesto will be our marking scheme.
