"Tomorrow is our 2 year anniversary" she said excited.
"I didn't know we celebrate anniversaries now" he replied
"I will come to your place so that we can celebrate together." she insisted
He remained silent.
The next day she wore her favourite sexy dress. She was beautiful.
She went to his place excited. Thoughts of spending time with her man was overwhelming. She had it all planned out.
She gets to his place but he is restless. She suggests they go to nearby bar.
While at the bar everything seems different he is distant. But that doesn't bother her.
"let's dance" she suggested. He reluctantly accepted.
The music was slow and soothing.
She took that opportunity to ask him why he was so distant.
He cleared his throat and said " Do you remember the first day we met?"
"Yes" she replied curiously
"I told you I wanted to keep this relationship casual and we agreed" He added.
"So even after two years you still see this as a casual relationship? I thought we were good together? " she lamented.
He remains quiet and stopped dancing.
" But i thought you considered me as your girlfriend. Do you love me?" she said.
He looks at her and stays silent.
" I can't believe you can do this to me." she said tears rolling down her cheeks.
" I am sorry but am not looking for a serious relationship." He said while walking away.

Why am I telling you this story?
One of the most painful experience is finding out that you misinterpreted things and invested all your time and energy on something that didn't exist in the first place.
Never assume things. If they never say it loud then it doesn't exist.
If they want you, they will tell you.
If they love you, they will talk about it.
