NOTICE!! NOTICE!!
We have published the bursary beneficiary results in all the wards in the constituency. We request you kindly interact with the it, cheques will be disbursed from Tuesday for local schools within Matayos. And the rest will be disbursed once we receive more funds from the treasury.

DISTRIBUTION OF CHEQUES.
We have distributed cheques to various development projects across the constituency. Mabunge Secondary School has received 9Milliion for construction of 2000 capacity Multi- Purpose Hall, Burumba Police Post has received 400, 000 for completion of the structure.

Other projects include ; St. Peter's Buyosi 2.5M for purchase of land, St. Mathias Secondary received 2.9 M for construction of modern computer lab and 800, 000 for completion of 2 classrooms and Esikulu Primary School ksh. 500,000 for completion of classroom.

The verification process of bursaries are in the final stage and soon we will start disbursing cheques as soon as beneficiary list is out.

Tuesday 26, December 2023.
Matayos NG CDF tournament and Bukhayo Cultural Festivals was held in Mundika Primary Grounds. The event was presided over by the Patron Hon Geoffrey Makokha Odanga, Burumba Ward MCA Hon Tony Onyango Opondo was also in attendance.
Jobless FC from Burumba ward won the Men's football tournament and got cash reward of ksh. 100,000, football nets, shin guards, uniforms, socks and many more gifts.
All the teams both men's and women's teams were rewarded. There was also cycling, tag of war, and cultural displays and activities such as ajua.
The constituents were happy and expressed their joy during the event by participating in various activities.

We kicked started our annual tournament and Bukhayo Cultural Festivals today. The activities will run all way to date 26th December. The finals will be hosted at Busibwabo Primary School.

We invite all of you for the exciting games of football, tug of war, cycling competitions and more of the Khayos culture.

Today our chairman Stephen Ojwang led in distribution and planting of tress in different institutions in the constituency. First order of the day was at Bulanda Secondary School where the school got 300 seedlings, the seedlings were also distributed in Murende TVC, Bukalama Primary School and later in Mundika centre.
These are efforts aim to combat the effects of climate change and global warming. We aim to keep Matayos green.

Lukonyi Primary, Burumba Ward

Today our team led by Chairman Stephen Ojwang, together with P.A Mr. Pascal Wandera joined Lukonyi Primary fraternity for prayer for candidates who are preparing to sit for the final exams.

The team also launched the newly constructed classroom for FY 22/23. Infrastructure remains to be our priority and we will continue supporting our institutions for betterment of our constituency.

Yesterday led by Patron Hon. Odanga we distributed cheques for various development projects which include; Completion for purchase of land at Bulanda Secondary, Completion of classroom at Lukonyi Primary, Renovation of 5 classrooms at Bugengi Primary, Completion of Storey Administration block and Multi- Purpose Hall at Mundika High School, Completion of chief office in Mabunge, Construction of 1 classroom at Busidibu Primary, Renovations works at Nasira AC Primary School among other projects.

All the mention projects have been displayed in the display board at our office in Mundika.

Day 2 Monitoring and Evaluation.
1. Visited Busendabala Primary School to evaluate 2 classrooms that are under construction in the school. Something amazing is that almost all the constructions in the school are under NG-CDF, including the land where the school lies.
2. Murende Complex: We visited Murende Assistant Chief Office, to certain what is going on, NG- CDF purchased the land where the office lies and also constructed the structure.
We also visited Murende TTI to establish the water project and Dining Hall. The Dining Hall is 85% complete and with additional funding the project will be complete.
3. We also visited Nasira AC Primary School where the NG -CDF is renovating 3 classrooms, we were satisfied with the status of the work visa vie the funds absorbed.
4. Lwanya Girls Secondary school. NG -CDF is constructing a modern administration block with 5 classrooms, the project is one of the flagship project we are currently doing.
5. Final destination for today was Busidibu Primary School where there is construction of new classroom, the work is still at foundation stage.

Day 1 of Monitoring and Evaluation.
CDF Monitoring and Evaluation committee visited a number of project to inspect the status and also determine the value of money disbursed.
1. AP's camp at Bukhayo West, the project was started some years back and it's now 50% complete, there is plead to the committee to ensure the project is complete.
2. Mundika Boys Administration Block, the project is 90% complete, with some variations of ramp and tiling the administration block will be ready to be used.
3. Budokomi Secondary Laboratory, the committee inquired about the status of the project, it was determined the project is 60% complete, with additional fund the project will be complete.
4. Classroom at Khudiri Primary, this is an upcoming Primary school established in 2017, CDF purchased 1 acre of land for the school, and constructed 3 number of classrooms, there is also ongoing classroom which is 50% complete.
5. Buyende Primary School, the committee sought to know about 5 number of classrooms that were to be renovated,
6. Visit at Bulanda Complex.
The committee visited Bulanda primary where they inspected renovation of 3 classrooms, it was satisfied that the amount disbursed is what is seen in the ground.
They also visited Bulanda Secondary School where recently they had purchased land for the school.

Routine Maintenance
Matayos Constituency KERRA is upgrading the Kemodo- Bukalama- Mandizini- Otimong routine, the road is under county government but due to public petition and the status of the road.
The Matayos Constituency KERRA office had to came in to save situation since the road was in a very bad state.

CDF team lead by patron Hon Geoffrey Makokha Odanga distributed cheques for various development projects in the constituency among them, ksh.2.15 Million for purchase of piece of land for expansion of the school, ksh.400, 000 for completion of Burumba Police Post, Busidibu Secondary Schools, among other projects.

BENCHMARKING
Matayos NG -CDF commitee members had a long day benchmarking with their Kisumu West NG -CDF counterparts. The team also visited Kisumu West Police Station construction site to learn about procurement procedures being applied in the constituency.
The benchmark helps the committee to learn and improve in some procedures being used in running day to day activities of the office.

STATE OF THE ART PROJECT
Mundika High School Administration Block, once the project is completed it will host, the school administration offices including Principal office, Deputy Principal, Secretary, Head of department on ground floor. Then first floor we will have modern ICT room and modern library.

The project is set to lift the phase of the school, with the such facility, that will help the students do more research on their work will definitely boosts the performance of students and school at large

BUSY DAY IN OFFICE
We hosted NG-CDF board team led by Regional Director Marygoreti Wanjala, the team had come to inspect some projects that need funds for completion. Which include;
1. A classroom in Bukalama Primary School that was started by Parents but lacked funds for completion.
2. Mundika High School Administration that need more funds for completion due to variations.
3. 2000 capacity multi-purpose Hall at Mabunge Secondary which it's capacity was changed from 100 people.

The team also visited and inspected Mundika Multi Purpose Hall that is 60% complete. Our staff were recommended for the efforts they put in serving our esteemed clients (who are the people.) With such visits it will improve the service delivery and also give room for proper inspection of the projects that are undertaken in the constituency.

"DUST YOU COME FROM, DUST YOU SHALL RETURN"
Matayos CDF fraternity led by Fund Manager and Chairman Mr. John Ojwang joined the family, friends and relatives of the late Joseph Saidi Okello during his official send of in his home at Sigwata.
Many who eulogise Mr. Joseph described him as a honest man who loved his work and they would remember him for equal distribution of bursary forms in Matayos South Ward. Okello was described as a family man who loved his wife, children and all his relative.
Area MP Hon. Geoffrey Makokha Odanga also send his condolences through his P.A, since he was held with some official duties in Nairobi. In his message area MP said he has lost a honest and dedicated friend and employee.
Fare the well Okello Said, until we meet again.

It's with deep sorrow we announce the sudden death of Mr. Saidi Okello, the late was until his demise an employee of Matayos NG -CDF. He hails from Sigwata village. He was a dedicated employee who loves his work, served his community with truth and honest.
The possession will leave Busia Mortuary today at 2pm, the burial will be held tomorrow at his Sigwata home.

We shall surely miss you Sir Okello.
