Hello December 🤗🥰

We refer to it as Namulukha/Namilukha, meaning the month of festivities.

Considering that this was the year of circumcision, a number of initiation ceremonies will be conducted, and as West Bukusu Online, we've not left behind. We shall air some that we have so far been invited.

SISIALUKHO

In August, we brought you the Live Coverage of the episodes dubbed 'Embalu Ye Babukusu'. We highlighted all stages of the Sikhebo right from Khulanga to Khukhwicha Khuluya. We want again to appreciate the families of Godfrey Kimakuti and Collins Mukhwana for allowing us to feature their sons in those episodes.

We also appreciate you people for the good following and attention you gave during the time.

We promised that we will also cover Sisialukho which is the final stage in circumcision ceremony that occurs on 11th December night of even year with exception if 12th day shall be a Sunday. With changes that is happening to Embalu Ye Babukusu, these ceremonies have been happening from early December with its end in the last day of the same month. So long as the ceremony is being conducted in December, there's no effect to the initiated boy.

Having said that, and other than covering Sisialukho for the above mentioned family up there, we will this time round be open and available to all families conducting these ceremonies this month of December. Feel free to welcome us at your home so that we can celebrate the rite of passage of your son by Livestreaming the event online.

We will also be featuring Basakhulu be Bukambisi to have their words of advice to the generation.

Sisialukho among Babukusu stands for many reasons among them being another name for Lufu ( three/four days after the death of someone) secondly a period when a mother who have gave birth is seen in public after the seclusion of 3 to 4 days Khulusanja. The one we're focusing is sometimes referred to as 'a Great Fire' - the graduation/transition of the circumcised boy into new stage of life, The adult Man.
