Ban'ei Horse Racing is a unique race in all the world. 'Pommelé' is a free magazine about Ban'ei. We are telling the charm of the Ban'ei and its backside.

ばんえい競馬は約70年の歴史を誇り、北海道の馬文化をいまに伝える貴重な有形財産でもあります。ばん馬はおよそ1トンのそりをひき、2つの障害を含む200メートルのコースを走ります。そのひたむきな姿とレースの迫力が多くのファンを魅了しています。

Ban'ei Horce Racing has a history of

about 70 years and that is a valuable property to convey the horse culture of Hokkaido to now. The hard appearance and the power of the horses are fascinating many fans.

芦毛の馬が成長する時にできるリンゴのような斑点模様を、フランスで「Pmmelé（ポムレ）」と呼びます。ばんえい十勝と、その魅力を伝える本誌の成長・進化を願い、雑誌名を「Pommelé」と名付けました。

In France, we call apple-shaped spots appearing as ash-horses grow 'Pommelé'. We wish the growth and evolution of the magazine, we named it.
